Queens people, with knowledge of Holy Cross HS

Please help if you can, TIA!!

Saturday my brother is playing Holy Cross. I want to try and MTA my way to the field. I have the address of 32nd Ave and 215th. in bayside.

I would love to come from Bay Ridge if that is possible. thanks!!

MTA huh ... that's tough.

Take the R or V train to Woodhaven Blvd/Slattery Plaza (at Queens Blvd)

You'll be at the Queens center mall. Take the Q88 bus to Utopia Parkway (you pick this up on the side of the mall, across the street - I think the corner is 59th Avenue)



At Utopia Parkway and the L.I.E. Service Road, Transfer to the Q33 to Francis Lewis Blvd.



At Francis Lewis Blvd and the L.I.E Service Road, Transfer to the Q76 going North. Get off at Francis Lewis Blvd. and 32nd Avenue.




Holy Cross is across the street.

here are the directions from Holy Cross website - can you get to Flushing or Jamaica?

Public Transportation from downtown Flushing
Students coming from the downtown Flushing subway station area (IRT #7 Train - Main Street Station) may take any Q 16 bus to the school. A number of buses may be taken to downtown Flushing in order to transfer to a Q 16 bus. These include the Q 14, Q 26, Q 48, Q 27, Q 44, B 58, the 65 and 66.
Students may take the Q 28 from downtown Flushing as far as Francis Lewis Boulevard and 32nd Avenue. This is about three blocks from the school.


Public Transportation from Jamaica
The Q 76 begins at the 165th Street Terminal in Jamaica, goes along Hillside Avenue and then up Francis Lewis Boulevard to within a block of the school. A number of buses bring students to the corner of Hillside Avenue and Francis Lewis Boulevard. These include the Q 43, Q 36, Q 1, Q 2, Q 3, Q 17, Q 75 and the Q 77. The N 1, N 2, N 6, N 22 and N 24 also make connections here. The Q 76 connects with the Q 44, the Q 75, the Q 88, the Q 17, the Q 12, the Q 13 and the N 21 as it goes up Francis Lewis Boulevard to Holy Cross High School.
The Q 31, originating in Jamaica, also stops across the street from the school on Francis Lewis Boulevard.

I have to rethink this. Most parents aren't going, and both my parents work that morning. I hate that no one will be there to see him play. I am thinking if I just get there, one of the parents will bring me home.

If you can get the 7 train and take that into Main Street/Flushing that would be easier than my directions. Believe it or not, that's how I used to go to school minus the train & the last bus

looks like the trip advisor wants me to go to the city then get a subway transfer there. I think I will just stick with brooklyn thought thanks!!

it's probably quicker to hit the city and then transfer to the 7 train. then try to get through bkyln.

yea unfortunately. bkyn & queens doesn't really link up as well as bkyln/manhattan and manhattan/queens does.

if you are coming from SI, I'd transfer to the 6 and get off at Grand Central, take the 7 train to the end (Main Street) then hop on the Q16 I think it said.
It'll be a long trip; but the most direct (and shortest) route

Would you consider taking the LIRR? The Bayside Station is probably a 10 - 15 minute walk from the HS. You would look for the Port Washington Line which you can pick up at Penn Station or Woodside (the 7 train stops here).

no, you would have to buy a lirr ticket but on the weekends it's $3 for city zones and the ride from Penn is only 25 minutes.

Its going to take you a mad long time to get there from Bay Ridge brooklyn. Like 2 hours plus.
