Would you go out if youre baby was 2 weeks old. ??
Well I have a question ?
My husbands company is going on a cruise tonight from Freeport.
My daughter is 2 weeks old and my husband wants me to go and I feel she so little for me to leave her.
I am leaving her to my sister to babysit.
But why do I feel like crap if I go.
DH says he would like to go out as a couple and says we havent gone out in 10 months .
What would you do

I would - it is your sister watching her so she is in good hands - and I agree, she will probably sleep the whole time

etd to add: I still feel guilty about going out. but really it is good for the baby to get used to others

I would definitely go. Especially since you have such a capable babysitter.  You can't beat the peace of mind that buys you. And you may not always have it so enjoy it when you can!

If it makes you feel better I had to leave my DD when she was a week old to go to a christening. Although I left her with DH, it was still sooo hard but it was nice to get out for a couple of hours too.

I would go. You deserve a night out just adults. Besides your husband will kill you if you back out now!
We can't get into THAT much trouble in just a few hours. By the way where do you keep the liquor? Can Mariella swim yet? I might want to take a dip in the pool with her. Thats ok if she can't yet shes almost two weeks old I am sure she is a fast learner.

I would go, i left DD that young and all she did was sleep, she woke up once to eat and went right back.

Personally I wouldnt go at that young age...but that's just me.
ETA: I had a c/s too and was in way too much pain at 2 wks PP to go anywhere anyway

honestly when my son was that age, I probably wouldn't have gone.... but now, looking back I see that would have been silly.
I say go! I would if I had another 2 week old.

I personally would not have been able to go but there is nothing wrong with going if you decide to go. You have to do what you feel comfortable with. I was also too exhausted to think about being out for the night.
