Who was in the delivery room with you?
Who was in the delivery room with you? How many people did your hospital let be in there with you? I would love to have my mom as well as my husband but I am not totally sure of what my hospitals' policy is on that.

I delivered at Winthrop. I had my DH and my mom.
I was so happy she was there.

My DH. I delivered at Winthrop and they only allowed your SO and a coach but they really only like to have one person in their. The next time I would like SIL in their as well beause she is going to school for nursing and would like to be a midwife so I think it would be a good experience for her.

Same here. I think it is a special moment and even though I am very close to my mom and my sister, I wanted this to be a moment just the two of us shared.

DH was there for Joseph.
No one but the doctors & nurses were there for Maddie. (DH was signing papers in Admitting & didn't make it in time).
My twin had her DH, my mom, my older sister & then I was called in when she screamed she wanted her twin there.
I would imagine you could have your mom & DH unless you have a c-section.

DH & MIL.
I have no relationship with my own mom hence she was not in the room. MIL is nurse by profession (now retired) and we are close so when I started getting labor pains she stayed by my side at home and was really great! By the time we needed to leave i asked her to come with us as I wasn't sure DH could handle my screams alone.
Best decision ever!!!!!!

My mom and DH.
We had originally planned to just have my DH when I delivered, but due to my epi, i couldn't lift my legs up and needed 2 people to help me hold them up, the L&D nurse had a cracked rib and couldn't so my mom stayed in with us.

Not sure where you are delivering - but it was only me and DH.
I delivered at St Charles - not sure of how many people are allowed in the room. I believe 2 though

Just DH. I really didn't want an audience. There were enough doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, interns... There was barely enough room for me and the baby.

I delivered at NSUH. My DH and Mom were in the room, but official policy says only one person. The nurse said it was okay.

My sister was at all 3 of my C-sections. (in addition to hubby)
and both hospitals had "Strict rules" on having only one person in the OR.
I plead my case early on, and really make an effort to talk them into it very early on. Has worked every time so far. Ive been lucky with great hospital staff, etc.
The first time we had to fight it, my Dr's said NO WAY (at the time I was at a HUGE practice where I was just a #, so they barely knew me, zero dr-patient relationship at these places. (and my hubby was sweet enough to offer my sis come in and not him! I would NEVER!) but the anesthesiologist (Who supposedly has the final say in this decision, above all others) was a twin also, and she totally INSISTED that my sister come.
This time around, I also got the "well the rules are...." (and those words never phase me  ) so sure enough, we got her in, no problem. The anesth did say that at any time he may have asked her to leave if he felt it necessary, which of course would have been no problem at all.
and Im sure, in God forbid emergency Cs, only one person, if even that.
and I was at the delivery of 3 of 4 of my sisters kids. Her OB approved them all.

My DH & my Mom the first time. SHe was under strict guidelines that she was just an observer and not getting involved (she likes to get involved!). The next 2 times, I had a c/s so it was just my DH but even if I had vbirths, it would have been just him those times.
