Kathleen,
CONGRATS on the new job!!  I think your dh is right. Just see what it is like before you take someone elses opinion..it's so hard to find a teaching job (as you already know) and I would even consider sticking with it (even if it's not your favorite school district) just for the experience..
You will do fine!!

Someone with such horrendous social skills probably would have a hard time working at any school. I would definately take her bone-headed opinion with a grain of salt.
