Re: would you keep this gift?

No. I'm not a huge chocolate fan personally and it looks like it would make more of a mess then it is worth. If I wanted melted chocolate on something I would melt it down in a pot or fondue pot instead and dip.

Re: would you keep this gift?

I put maybe because while it's nice, I can melt chocolate in my mini crock pot. But if someone gave it to me, I guess I might keep it for a party?

Re: would you keep this gift?

That's the type of thing I wouldn't buy but it would be neat to have. So I would keep it if I received it as a gift. DH wanted me to buy one of those for him for Christmas. Chat Icon

Re: would you keep this gift?

No. I dont see ever having use for a chocolate fountain. Even if i liked them, I would never want people using that in my house because i would be so afraid of chocolate stains everywhere. I would return it and get something more practical.

Re: would you keep this gift?

I am on the fence... I was considering getting one of these, and read some reviews online that they don't work that well.

I used my fondue pot to melt chocolate and it worked well.

I wouldn't buy it, but if given to me as a gift, I would probably use it when we entertained and/or had parties.

Re: would you keep this gift?

I received one for Christmas last year -- I returned since I also received a fondue pot. The fondue pot was more versatile and seems less wasteful (I imagine there's a certain amount of chocolate you need to keep it flowing correctly).

I think chocolate fountains are dirty - especially at weddings but that's JMHO. I hate anything that more than one person is dipping into.

Well, the very reason I love chocolate is the very reason why I would have to give it away Chat Icon

Re: would you keep this gift?

I bought it and seriously...its sitting in the box on my pantry floor. Its really not practical. You may try and use it once but c'mon putting it together and washing it and only using it at parties...its just one more PITA thing that we will not use. BTW...I was the sucker that bought ours...mine wasnt even a gift!
