ugh it was such a waste
i turned it off by 1030
I left the room at 10:15. I couldn't stand it. DH watched it for a while longer - till 10:30 I think.
Fire Island has changed so much from when I first went there 23 years ago. I have no desire to spend time there - it's enough that I have to put up with those people on my train going to the ferries

Ugh the people were morons and it just did not look fun at all-also FI is all about the skanky houses with sand on the floor-not mansions

I did watch the very beginning and the first thing I said to DH was people who live in Manhattan go to the Hampton's. We never had any of those types of people in any of my beach houses
That's what we said! Also seemed more like Laguna Beach than Fire Island. Even though I thought it wasn't a great show I'll still probably watch to see if I recognize anyone or to check out the places they go!
i HATED this show bc the whole time DH & I said it was like the Hamptons invaded Fire Island (our "our turf" as we like to put it  ) but i TOTALLY disagree that Manhattan ppl go the Hamptons. I live in Manhattan and am definitely a Fire Island type and not at all the Hamptons type and my friends would fit the category too (which is why we did our share houses there).
