I would not have opened the door. I probably would have just called the police. If he was really in a bad situation, let the police point him in the right direction. I know for a fact there's a soup kitchen that is always open on Main Street in Riverhead because my parents work there. They set them up with basically whatever they need.

I would say NO thank you and lock my door.. even call the police!I wouldn't give him money because I wouldn't want him to COME BACK!
