OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
I'm not PG, but think about being hmmm, about 24 hours a day sometimes ...
Can you please tell me if you planned it or if it "just happened" or if it wasn't planned but not totally out of left field(cause you weren't using protection ).
We're not ready *right now* but sometimes I think that it'll never be the right time.
Thanks!

Hi Sasha. Nice to see you here!
We decided that it was time to TTC. I got my BFP the first month of "not being careful." I was not temping and charting. That was our next step.
Good Luck!

We were surprised!
Its amazing what a little nooky on the couch can do after a half bottle of wine!

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
Thank you both!!
Steph, congrats again!!
Lately I've been hit with "what if I'm not here tomorrow" and one of the things I would regret the most is not having kids.
It's scary because I'm still very nuch a baby with DH and super selfish with my time...so giving that up is hard to imagine.
But it's for a worthy cause, no?

My lord...LIZA! You JUST got married! No time wasted! Congrats!!
Steph, you too...must be a "Steph" thing!
If not charting...did you do it every single day? Or did you happen to be ovulating when you "did it"?
I ask because I haven't been on BC for over a year, we're very careful and avoid my ovulating days though...and no accidents so far. Maybe I need to be more aggresive?

OMG LOVE HIS WORK! I think we discussed on LIW way back when?
I want his "big fish in a small bowl" print for my house...I told DH and he was like "huh?"

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
Were any of you, that planned it, afraid of not being able to conceive?
Is it irrational that that's one of my fears?

Oh yeeeeah!!!
I remember that!
The funny thing is Sasha, we never used BC - never!
We were together for 2 and a half years doing the same thing, and then all of a sudden we get PG - like it was just meant to be or something....

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
We always did it every other day. We used Pull N Pray, but then we stopped pulling and started praying (for a different outcome, of course), and got our BFP.
I would say to try not staying away from your O days and having fun with it before you start charting. If you don't see the results you want then go on to temping and all of that.
To answer your other question, DH and I felt very selfish as well. But, we were willing to put ourselves aside. Once we got that BFP, everything we said we wanted before we had kids and didn't get to do, seemed like we really didn't want it that bad. Or, we started planning doing those things with our children. Your mindset totally changes.

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
I doubt you ever will be ready but thinking about being pregnant 24 hours a day definately lets me know you are ready as can be.
Ours was the second time around after miscarrying the first time. We tried for 8 months the first time but got lucky after my D&C and conceived a month before we were supposed to. (a little too much fun in Vegas and we just got carried away

Its not that bad, really !

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
Aw, you beauties made me cry (not so hard, ever, poor DH when we get PG! )...thank you for the support and advice!
I'm unhappy with my weight...so I'll work on that. I don't want to be OW and PG...I would feel so guilty if something happened to the baby because I'm lazy & don't like to exercise.
Thank you...I'll keep you posted!

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
Neither of my pg were planned. Nate was really a shocker bc I was taking the pill (screwed up a couple of days). Plus were barely married 2 months when I found out I was pg. It took some time to adjust to the idea of being parents..
This time we talked about TTC later this year, but it happened a few months earlier. We are totally in a better place this time and ready.

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
we had been on the fence for awhile. Then DH was told he has varioceles. So in a very intense moment, we said okay. Not much thought went into it at that moment. It seemed silly to wait for more money or vacations if DH was going to have an issue getting me pregnant. All we wanted at the time was a baby. So that night, I got pregnant. We were in shock, thinking he would have this crazy low count.
Turns out, after a follow up visit, DH does not have varioceles, just a small cyst that has now disappeared. We laugh now, but it was a crazy time. We needed the push and got it.

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
We were married in Oct. 05 and decided that I'd go off BCP in november and just see what happens. If nothing happened by June I would start paying attention to the dates and figure out the fertile days, etc. It happened in Feb. We were so thrilled. I felt that I was very selfish too and thought long & hard about all I was going to have to "give up" when the baby came, but I realized that I would be gaining so much more and I stopped worrying about that. Now I just worry that I won't be a good mom.
Good luck in making your decision and happy baby dancing when the time comes. I have to say that it was so much fun trying.
