In my case, my LP was normal, and my m/c was most likely cause by a chromosomal abnormality, and that cannnot be prevented by progesterone and that case it would prolong my uterus passing the embryo leading to a m/c.
Yes it is a case by case basis. But above your wrote that your m/c was MOST LIKELY due to CA which to me means that there was no testing done to be sure. Just because your LP was not short does not mean that your progesterone was not low. I'm not saying women shouldn't take it, I just don't understand dismissing it.
That is very true, and will never have an answer to why I m/c'd. I really wish I did, cause i know it would have made the grieving process a little easier if I had an answer. I have also read/heard and also from my dr that progesterone supplements in the ob world are still one of those things that some drs agree with the research and some do not.
All cases are different, and modern medicine has come so far, but some things are still out of our control and up to mother nature.
I find it truly amazing that the human body can grow another human, sustain life in the body, make room, move organs, flex bones all for reproduction and the ongoing of our species.

interesting, i only consulted the 2 OBs in my practice and they never mentioned the placebo effect or anything about the uncertainty of the medical community about supplements, however they did tell me that taking the supplements does not guarantee that the pregnancy will be sustained. the ol' don't count your chickens.... i'm just relieved that my pregnancy is going well, whether i can thank the supplements or mother nature!
