Re: Workout Thread
Ok, laaaaaaaaadddiiiessss, where are we???
My update - I picked up a NASTY cold from Alex on Saturday so I haven't worked out since Friday, per my hubby's orders. But, tonight I plan on jumping back on the horse, so to speak, with some pilates.
How has everyone else been doing?

Re: Workout Thread
I need to get back on track. I was going to workout last night (I haven't since last Friday) -- but then I realized 24 was on!
Hoping to find my motivation again from reading about what everyone else is doing...

I also have a bad cold, as does DD, so I haven't been to the gym since Sat. I am hoping to get there tomorrow morning.

Re: Workout Thread
We all have colds here to. I tried to work out this morning, but I am just too tired. I am really excited to say that on Sunday we bought an elliptical machine and it will be here tomorrow.

Re: Workout Thread
I'm doing bad, but not because of laziness. I got my hair Japanese straightened this past weekend and I can't get my hair wet for 3 days! So that means no washing my hair, AND no sweating!
So tomorrow I can kick it up again!! Can't wait!! I miss it because I lost another pound!! I want to see that number on that scale keep going down!!

Ohhh, that's a good excuse!! I'm so depressed - I worked out 4 times last week and really watched what I ate, and the scale didn't budge one bit

Re: Workout Thread
I went to the gym this morning for two hours. I did an hour on the eliptical machine and some weights for arms, back and butt. I feel GREAT! Plus on Sunday, Dh gave me an hour of personal training at home.

I didn't lose any weight the first week either, then all of the sudden the 2nd week I lost an inspiring 3lbs. Now I'm back to 1lb a week if I'm lucky but you'll probably see that nice little boost this week so hang in there!!

Ok, I'm hanging onto hope for now... I better see some results next week! Besides, I have to lose at least a little weight for my upcoming vacation!

Re: Workout Thread
Ahhh, I feel like such a nudnick harassing everyone every morning, so please tell me this is helpful, not an annoyance, ok????!
Anyway, how did we do last night? I SOOOO wanted to go to bed, but I didn't want to do the post of shame this morning, so I dragged my lazy bum onto the treadmill for a good 30 minutes...
Anyone else?

Re: Workout Thread
I dragged my butt out of bed this morning and went to the gym. I did 50 mins on the EFX and some weights and abs. It actually made my cold a little better.

No workout today...I'm in a little bit of pain today from yesterday. Maybe I'll have DH help me out tonight. I'm definitely going to the gym on Thursday.

Anyone workout last night? I did! 40mins of Pilates and it was HARD. I think I'm getting a little sore.
I'm SOOOOO EXCITED. I stepped on the scale today and in one week I lost 2.2lbs!!! I guess it IS working after all!! I've got to keep it up for my vacation coming up!

Thanks!!! I'm hoping I feel comfy enough to slip into my bikini in a month I use Winsor Pilates. It's AMAZING, it really is. I've been working out like a fanatic for about 8 years now, 5 days a week, and I can honestly say that nothing gave me results like those videos. I used them 2-3 times a week for 6 months leading up to my wedding, and then I got pregnant, and even now, after my delivery, I still have definition in my stomach from those 6 months of using the videos. I have the basic videos and the advanced ones. Last night I did 20mins Abs and 20mins buns and thighs.
You've been doing a great job!!! I'm sure you'll see a difference on the scale when you muster up the strength to step onto it!

I also have been a gym fanatic for years, but am finding I may need to start something else to get my body back. Do you have all the videos? If not, which ones do you recommend?

Re: Workout Thread
Well, now I got a nasty cold so I didn't work out last night. I'm feeling a little better today so I should be able to work out tonight - at least 30 mins on the elliptical is my plan.
You did great Beth - you are really getting me interested in that Pilates tape...the one I did right after the baby was born was just so-so.

No, they come out with new ones all the time. About 2 years ago I bought the basic set of DVDS which included one 20 minute basic workout and an accelerated workout for 50mins. Then, last year I bought the strength training DVD's that you use a rubber band with... it has an abs workout for 20mins, buns and thigh workout for 20mins and upper body workout for 20mins, and another accelerated video for longer. This is the "official" website:
Winsor pilates
But, you can also buy all the dvd's on ebay for much cheaper
