Cleaning question
when you are wiping down the stove, countertops, etc...do you use the same sponge that you use to clean dishes??

I usually use paper towel and spray of some sort. My stepmom took over when she was here and got me these Dobie sponges (they have this netting around them) for the dishes so I guess I can use my regular sponges for cleaning.

You shouldn't use the same sponge. It can spread bacteria. Have a different sponge for cleaning and doing dishes. I also use paper towels and spray which I think it the most sanitary and the most expensive as i hear from FIL every time they visit

I use the Magic Eraser to wipe down the stove. I use a scrub brush to clean the plates and then they go right in the dishwasher. I always spray the countertops with Lemon Scented Lysol Cleaner and wipe with a paper towel.

I have a dish sponge and a cleaning sponge. The cleaning sponge has the edges cut off so DH knows which is which. I'll even go so far as having a toilet sponge and a sink sponge. But often, I will just use paper towels.

no - we have 2 different ones- the one for dishes has the scrubbing pad on one side & we use a plain one for the counters.
My family always used one for everything, but I guess living in apartments, the thoguht of doing
that just grossed us out.
We also use a different towel for drying the dishes & drying hands & coutners.

I am a paper towel and spray (Fantastic, Windex, ect...) FANATIC. DH always makes fun of me because I will just walk around the house with a bottle of cleaner and paper towels
