I LOVED it too. It really was such a powerful movie. Oprah had the cast on yesterday, it was great. I went to the movies by myself because my DH wasn't too enthused about going either. I loved it !

My MIL went to the taping of yesterday's Oprah. Before the taping with the cast members they took the whole audience to see the movie. She said it was really good.

Re: Brokeback Mountain

I saw it and liked it, however, I did not think it was as amazing as everyone else thought it was. I just thought it was good. But I'm a tough critic.

ETA: Am I the only one whose DH went to go see it with me? He told me after working for LOGO, the gay channel on IO, that brokeback was NOTHING compared to what he would see on tv.Chat Icon

I agree- I liked it, but wasn't blown away. i think I hyped it up in my head too much.

I went with DH and BIL, who both were amazed by it. They both liked it more than I did, but they also had lower expecations I think.

DH and I are going to see it today. He didn't want to see it originally, but once it started getting nominated he did since he likes to try to see all the nominees.

Re: Brokeback Mountain

Just got back from seeing it, I really enjoyed it, though was shocked at one scene in particular.

DH really liked it too. They both did a great job, and the directing was fantastic.
