Weight Watching Moms

I thought I would make us our own little thread here since a lot of us are trying to lose weight and don't have time to surf. We can all support each other on our journey since being a new mom adds a whole new dynamic to weight loss.

I am doing Weight Watchers and right now my first goal is to lose 20 pounds to get to my pre pregnancy weight. Then I'll take the rest from there. I have lots to lose so its baby steps for me right now. I am doing it online so I will be weighing in on Mondays. We can all post our losses/gains if we wants as well.

We can also share grocery store finds, recipes, easy snacks/meals. etc.

Good Luck to us all!!

Re: Weight Watching Moms

I'm doing Slim and Six (started today). It's the lack of carbs that's freaking me out...but I have to do something. I'm at a very dangerous weight right now.

It's a program I got off an infomercial. It's sort of easy. It's the one where you blueprint out your body type and build an eating plan for your body type. Of course I have an "A" body type which means I can't have ANYTHING "bad" Chat Icon

Why can't there be the all you can eat Italian Food diet?Chat Icon

Yes, and the program is pretty easy to follow...if you like tunaChat Icon Chat Icon

*keeps repeating to oneself* "Tuna is better than chocolate, tuna is better than chocolate"....

Mich...wanna borrow the rest of the program? You are not an "A" so if you want it, it's yours.

Have you done Weight Watchers? Its not the fastest weight loss but at least you don't feel totally deprived.

I agree about weight watchers. And it's not always the slowest weight loss. In just under 6 months I lost 50 lbs which is not that bad at all. My first week I lost 10.8! There are also ways to use your "flex points" deliberately to get the most out of them -- it helps with plateaus and keeps the weight losses higher instead of lower each week. I can give you all info on it if you want. It's not anti-ww, just an amendment to the plan that helps you to know how ot use your extra 35 points each week.

Re: Weight Watching Moms

I lost about 50 lbs right before we concieved - so definately join up and it might even help you guys to concieve. The doctor told me it's not really true but I'm convinced it helped me to get pregnant.

Re: Weight Watching Moms

I just wanted to pass this site on -- I know a lot of us are busy so there are times when we do fast food -- this site has TONS of nutritional info and it's all up to date on tons of restaurants and fast-food places.

Re: Weight Watching Moms

Dottie's Weight Loss Zone is also a great site for people on WW.... They have point values for lots of chain restaurants.

Re: Weight Watching Moms

Mine is Sunday officially at the meetings -- but I'll probably cheat by then and weigh myself on my own scale. It's the same because I weighed myself right before WW on sunday and got the exact same number.
