Re: Do You Feel 100% Content W/ Your Life?
Yes, Leighla it is. I thought about what you wrote and I feel like we're all in the same boat to some extent. I'm happy w/ my daughter & my happy but I feel like I'm not 100% there yet.
A. Looking to buy a house(not NY) B. Why Can't I buy a house in NY? C. Sacrificing Family for a better life...

I believe you can be quietly ambitious and content at the same time.
This is a great line! I believe this too. I am very content with my life and feel very blessed.

Re: Do You Feel 100% Content W/ Your Life?
I'm content, but I don't know if I am 100% content. I wish I was recognized and appreciated more at work, and time-wise it is difficult spending as much time with DH as I would like to while I am in school full time and working full time. I feel like I am sacrificing now (in terms of time, money) to go to school full time for a degree that will enable me to get higher jobs and more money in the future, but for right now, life is tough. But I am so happy to have my friends, family, and my DH. We've been together 6 years now and it just keeps getting better.

No, I'm a worrier I'm constantly thinking, planning, etc...DH says he can see the wheels turning in my head!
I'm very content with certain areas of my life - such as my marriage - but in others I want much more (ie career, house, etc)

I'm not 100% content. There's definite room for improvement in some areas, but I know things could be a lot worse.

thre are things that I would like to be different, but I"m very happy with the way my life is now. I know that the things I want, I will have someday, so I'm content with the way things are right now. I'm pretty easy to please though

Re: Do You Feel 100% Content W/ Your Life?
I think I'm content, but unfortunately, I'm one of those people who will always want more. I know it's good to strive for more, and for better, but I can be kind of negative about those things. When I finally get what I "want," I automatically want more. I'm trying to work on that.

Re: Do You Feel 100% Content W/ Your Life?
I am not 100% but am pretty content. Now that the wedding is over our next mission is buying a house or apt. After that it will be a baby, I feel like it will always be something else. DH always tells me to relax and be happy that we are married, healthy and have great families. It would also be nice if the Mets could freaking win a world series, it's been 20 yrs!!!!!!!!!

I read your second post before this one, and when you said...now that the wedding's over, it's a house and then it'll be a baby...I thought - oooh, she's like me!
I never noticed how bad I was until my DH started calling me on it! If we're talking and I suddenly get quiet, he usually will say "And no, it's not X" - it's like he's reading my mind!!!!

I was just telling DH the other day... right now life is really really goooood. I am very content right now. Of course, you can always aspire to make more of yourself, but I believe you can be quietly ambitious and content at the same time.
This sums it up for me too. I am 110% content with my life, my DH, my apartment, my job. That's not to say I'm not striving to achieve more but at this point in my life, I'm very happy with where my life is

No, not 100%. I'm happy but I'm always wondering if I did the right things, if there is something better job-related out there, etc. I'm always asking "what if?" and I'm always worrying....
I have to find a way to change the way I think....

I am very happy, but I wish certain things were different family wise. I also look forward to new things like having a baby and a house...but I am very happy overall.

I am happy, but as soon as I feel content, I know I will never try anything new. So no, I'm not 100% content and I hope to never be.

Re: Do You Feel 100% Content W/ Your Life?
Life is good and I know I'm truly blessed. I have a wonderful husband, beautiful baby, a nice house, we're healthly, have supportive family and friends. The only aspect that I am not content with is my career or lack of one.
