Oh Noel, I'm so sorry you are going through this, but I will tell you what the sono tech told me on Monday when I had my sono. She said that she was surprised to hear a hearbeat at 6.5 weeks. She said most of the time she doesn't see one at that stage. And had they known I was only 6.5 weeks, they would have waited to do a sono, but they thought I was 8 weeks at the time. So hang in there. It does not mean the worst, honey.
I was going to say the same thing. It just might be too early. Hang in there I didn't see a heartbeat until 7 weeks.

ok well i was hoping to announce today that i am pg and i guess i still can announce it but with a catch..... i went for my first sono and no h/b yet. i am about 6 weeks or so. my last af was 9/12 and the dr is being opstimistic but i have to go back next week for another sono. the week is going to kill me.. i had blood taken and then i will go back on monday for more blood and they will compare the numbers to see if the numbers are going down.. a sure sign of ANOTHER M/C. He says he has seen this happen a 1000 times and teh next week there is the h/b and he has also seen it where the next week there is still no h/b and they have to do a dnc so we'll see.
my question anyone ever have this where they didnt see the h/b at this stage and went on to have a healthy pg?
TIA.
Don't quote me... but I believe that the heartbeat can't been seen by sonogram until the 8th week of pregnancy. So aren't you to early in the pregnancy to be seeing it on a sonogram? I wouldn't jump to a DNC until after your 9th week at least to give the pregnancy a chance and have a sono done to see if the heartbeat if finally there. My sister had a 1st sonogram done at 6 1/2 weeks and there was no heartbeat, but you could see the sac where the baby was going to develop. She was told to come back in 2 weeks and they then repeated the sonogram. At at time she was 8 1/2 weeks and the heartbeat was then present. So I would just hold tight and give it time.... OR in other words, possibly get a second opion... you are so early in your pregnancy to just jump to a DNC.....

Re: REALLY REALLY REALLY need advice and prayers....
I'm sure everything is fine You can sometimes hear the heartbeat and see it early. I saw and heard our babies heartbeat at 6 weeks 1 day.

Re: REALLY REALLY REALLY need advice and prayers....
It is very common not see the heartbeat until the 8 week mark, which is why alot of Dr's don't even want to see you until then.
Good luck and stay positive

Re: REALLY REALLY REALLY need advice and prayers....
I had heard the heart beat a 71/2 weeks but it was very faint and I had to hold my breath inorder to hear it. When I went for my 12 week check up the doctor couldnt find the sac and said that it is normal to take upto to 13 weeks to hear the heart and she did a quick sono and the baby was very low and she didnt check that low. I am sure everything will be fine.

Re: REALLY REALLY REALLY need advice and prayers....
I saw heatbeats in my 7th week. Is it possible you are a week off in your calculations?
