Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
hey sasha---
it seems as though you and your DH have some talking to do...
i never thought i'd be ready, but now that i am, i am already so much in love with the baby inside me... i couldn't think of a better time----
we didn't really "PLAN" it, as we were not charting or temping, but we were surprised that it didn't take very long for us, as i anticipated a long journey for some reason...
if you want it!
best wishes! i know you'd make an awesome mother!

sasha,
I got pregnant after the first month of not using protection.
we never really had any scares and were not always that safe. we just never had sex around ovulation time.
Don't worry, it will happen. Don't stress out over it.

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
Both planned. Used webmd.com's ovulation calendar & OPT's. I had a friend who went through 5+ years of infertility in her 20's only to be told later that she probably wouldnt' conceive or be able to carry. I wanted to know upfront if there was a problem asap. I was one of the lucky ones.
There is never a right time to have a baby, but there are definitely the wrong times (ie saving a marriage, experienced major life crisis, etc.)

Sasha-
I am so happy that you're going to start trying! I am petrified that we won't be able to conceive, especially with all that DH has been through. The thought of having a child scares me,but the thought of NOT having one scares me even more. I know that I am more ready to have one with each day that passes. We've decided that if all goes well with DH's doctor's appt. in Oct. and he is still in remission, then we'll start trying.

Thanks for posting this post! What you stated is exactly how I feel, except I know that in many ways we still have to wait.. :( At least till next July.
I really hope that I don't have fertility issues, but to try now when we just can't we don't want to either.

Re: OMG, so I got the cojones to post here...
I thin kthe first stage of wanting children is, thinking about it, then can i get pregnant, then am I going to be a good parent- can I do this, then will the child stay in my belly, then can I survive labor, then they are in your arms and it's all over. your heart melts, then it's omg! when do I sleep and a whole roll of that starts
Either way, it's going to be a great experience for you and DH. Good luck.
