American Space Travel...
Do you feel we are justified to spend billions of dollars on a mission to Pluto when that $$ could be needed here? Or is space travel and discovery a necessity?

While I'm an advocate for science and discovery, I do feel that there are things we need to conquer down here before we further explore up there

Anyone surprised that space hasn't yielded more discoveries? Like a cure for a disease or colonies on the moon (which years back people thought we would have by now)

I think there comes a point where we have to say "enough". There are so many ways that money could be better spent. As you pointed out, they haven't found the cure for cancer up there. Something like that, or building more schools, etc. would benefit more people. How much does the average person really benefit from space travel?
