had the choc cake tonight with some cool whip on it...YUM!
I'm back on track now...I'll give myself a week to adjust & then weigh.
I agree...I feel bad when I cheat & go off the diet...I feel better when I eat the program right.
have a great week everyone!

Re: THE OFFICIAL..... NUTRISYSTEM .....thread

I had non fat frozen yogurt last night and I felt guilty afterwards.....This morning, I noticed a .4 gain and I am betting it is from the frozen yogurt. I wont be eating that anymore

I had the vegetarian lasagna last night and the peanut butter chocolate bar for dessert - both were really good. I made a bowl of stir fry veggies. I was so full!

I can easily stick to the NS plan on the weekdays its the weekends that are tricky! I think once in awhile though you need to let yourself have a treat, otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy and probably end up binging (sp) later.

Mrs. A the Lasagna is my favorite meal all together

During the weekend if you go out to eat, Just have a big salad, and then order grilled chicken and steamed veggies or fish and steam veggies

You can have a Sweet Potato as long as it is plain.

Scott - where is there a Trader Joes on LI?
Ive never heard of that store. I wanted to see if they have the low fat granola there.

Yah I usually dont order salads w/ my entree when I go out to eat, but Im going to start. This way Im sure I wouldnt even be able to finish my entree either.

both are areas I dont know of, so Im guessing that means it's far from me. I'll check out a few other supermarkets, one of them hopefully has it, if not I'll just find another cereal.

Ive bought granola from the health food store before but that was gross! I really like how NS' granola tastes. I realized from eating it too, how much Id over eat cereal! I could easily eat 2 cups of cereal w/ milk. NS gives you only 1/2 a cup and it still is filling.

There's one in Oceanside if you live in Nassau County.

I'm not on NS, but need to lose approx 40-50 lbs. I'm 5'8" and closing in on 200lbs.Chat Icon I hate the way I feel all around!
I know I need to do something! Problem is DH is super skinny...eats anything and everything, but stays incredibly skinny. He's got this super hyper metabolism! He doesn't cook...I'm afraid that if I start something like this I'd still be cooking his meals and nibbling...

Does anyone have this problem?

Re: THE OFFICIAL..... NUTRISYSTEM .....thread

There is also one in Merrick on Merrick rd

I have been on NS for 3 weeks and Danielle will not cook a meal for herself. She wont let me cook for her either. Last week I made chicken cacciattore for her in the crockpot - and I also marinated chicken breasts for her in balsamic vinegar so she can make them on the george foreman. Other than that she thinks it is ridiculous to cook for one person. She is mad that I am on NS. If it was the other way around, I wouldnt be mad. I would actually be happy, because then I would be able to make what ever I wanted for dinner

I was also afraid when I ordered NS Id be eating the NS meals and snacking on other things at the same time. I cook for DH but dont really get tempted to eat anything I cook for him. I dont even give it thought really. I think if you motivate yourself enough you can manage to resist, plus the meals are filling so it's not like your left unsatisfied.

Do you think your DH could cook for himself while you do this diet to help you out?

I know someone who did NS and said the entire time she did it her husband cooked for himself, ordered out, etc so that she could stick to the NS plan.

ETA- I know how you feel, my DH isnt super skinny hes a good weight, but he can watch what he eats for a day or two and drop like 5lbs by the end of the week! Meanwhile I can watch what I eat for 2 months and drop 1lb!Chat Icon

Had the Pasta Fagioli for dinner last night, it was pretty good, I mixed it in w/ my veggies. It tasted like there was beef in there, so I checked to be sure and it turned out to be vegetarian sausage! I really like the Nutri Crunch chocolates!

Thanks for all the Trader Joe recs..I'll check it out.

I had the whipped sweet pototos for lunch today- it was really good! I add a little more water than where the line is and it comes out a bit more creamier.

I cheated yesterday a little bit - had dinner at my SIL's house. But she made fat free/sugar free pastachio pudding for dessert for meChat Icon

Re: THE OFFICIAL..... NUTRISYSTEM .....thread

I cheated slightly last night...went to applebees. I of course got the WW onion soup but I was tired of getting the WW entrees - so I wound up getting the Honey Pepper grilled chicken with broccoli. It was really good and I am sure not too bad - it just wasnt WW. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and I only had one tiny bite Chat Icon
