Not really. I dont think anyone does it on purpose. If you think they are doing it intentionally, I would be bothered. Some people just have a mental block about name spellings.

I get it too, Christine instead of Kristine. I had it wrong on some of my wedding cards for crying out loud- ummm... isn't the invitation RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU??? And I hate when people see it spelled with a K and assume it is KRISTIN.... ummmm KEEP READING!!!

It would bother me , b/c I always make an effort to pronouce & spell people's names right.
It bothers me when people call my mother Marie, when her name is Maria.

I have a cousin that I never see & I want to send his family a Christmas card & I can't remember for the life of me if it's Quinn or Quin. I may skip the card completely, just so I don't spell it wrong.

( I don't want to ask my dad, b/c he will tell me not the send them card, b/c they never send us anything.)

I have been with my DH for close to 7 years & his sisters will mispell my name all the time. There is no E in my name.

I get this done to me all the time because my name can be spelled three different ways. Never really bothered me probably because I do it myself! I have a cousin Meg that I still can't remember if it's spelled Megan or Meghan. I feel so bad, but i can never remember. Also, my sister is Michele and not Michelle. I think i misspelled her name for years....LOL.
