Need Ideas for Paint Color
We just bought this comforter set for our master bedroom and I am looking for a color to paint that will match it. Thanks, Scott Click
We also have a quilt that is dark blue, light blue and silver, and another comforter that is light blue, green and white

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
any shade-light or dark of the colors in the comforter or go with something more neutral that anything you get down the road will match OR a blue shade since you have alot of blue in your comforters

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
Since you have a couple of different sets that you want to mix & match with I would go with something very neutral. A creamy off-white would look nice (we did this in our guest bedroom and I thought it would be ok, but I LOVE it and it isn't boring/drab at all) or a warmer neutral a light beige.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
I don't have a pic of this room. But I will take one today. I think it would look fine with that carpet. I will also look at the paint can and get you a name. I was really happy with it and it turns out to be one of my favs.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
Yes its different than most capes upstairs. Our friends live in a cape in levittown and their closet upstairs is bigger and across from part of the closet is a wall.....Their master bedroom isnt as big as ours though, but there 2ns bedroom is bigger than ours.
We have a smaller second bedroom, a small closet and a NICE size master bedroom

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
Scott that floor is brown you said? How about a sage green? october mist or peaceful Jade from benjamin moore is a nice green to match the comforter or if you wanted to keep it nuertal but warm go with coastal dunes or tumbled marble, those are the color names in the serentiy collection.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
If you want something really neutral I would recommend Navajo White by Benjamin Moore, I have my whole house painted this and love it. It is a creamy beige/offwhite but has a little more color then a regular beige.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
I would go with a pale blue, or if you want to stay neutral, a light creamy beige color like Tanaholilc said. I used BM Bone White in my hallway and it looks beautiful!

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
We are leaning towards a pale blue...We arent really people that would want a white room...we need some color in it....And the green is what we have now in our bedroom and the comforter doesnt look right in it...The blue and gold one we bought...Even though there is some green in it... Scott

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
I'd pick one of the neutral colors in the new set for the walls and do a blue accent wall that will coordinate with any of your sets.

Scott Scott I agree, color especially in a bedroom is muy romantico- navajo white is too light IMO, but a very nice color for hallways. Just becareful painting walls to "match" the comforter- your taste may change- with the comforter set and then you will be limited with what colors you can work with b/c of the paint- I made that mistake and have learned to never do it again.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
I would probably stay away from the blue on the walls - it may make the room look small - i would go with a china white (BM) or a beigey color then do accents in accessories on the walls of the blues. You may even want to be adventurous and use accents of a deep red - that would look nice.

how is a light powder blue going to make the room look dark? it doesnt. a dark blue I can see but not a light blue- in fact when the sun hits it , it will be a nice bright room giving the effect of enormity!

Re: Need Ideas for Paint Color
Is that a light blue color in your duvet or is it a aqua-ish color? I just got an awesome color that I will painting my BR with - BM Yarmouth Blue. Its gorgeous!!! Its a shade lighter than Buxton Blue, which is also really nice, I dont even think Lisas pic does it justice, its very pretty

That's funny, that's one of the colors we were looking at.

Yarmouth was one of the samples we picked up too! We just wanted to go a shade deeper after living 5 years in an apt with beige everything...lol.
