Does your child have any kind of lovey/blankie or a comfort item?
Mallory has her blankie, it's pink and white chenille - HAS to sleep with it and when she's upset it calms her right down.
Jordan had Hootie Bird when he was little... don't ask!! He needed something to hold on a stick all the time... I have no idea why When we would be out somewhere and he would get upset I could give him anything with a stick, even a wooden spoon and he'd be happy... people were always perplexed with that and now he has a blankie that he sleeps with.. he calls it "cold blankie".. and it's a little wholey now Image Attachment(s):

My son never had one although nowadays he likes to sleep with oranges or lemons. (strange I know) My daughter has her "baby" - its a pink lamb.

Nothing - - unless you count the paci's he needs to sleep with. Everyone always asks me this question and look at me strange that he doesn't have a favorite stuffed animal or blanket. Not sure why he doen't but so far no comfort items.

I still chuckle everytime you post that! Too cute!
Andrew doesn't have anything that he needs to sleep with, but we have certain things that stay in the crib only, like a little stuffed puppy, his Elmo and his Cookie Monster. If there not there, like they are getting washed, he doesn't care. But its great because he knows its bedtime when I say Elmo is calling him!

Michael has a favorite blankie who comforts him when he's upset and he keeps him warm at night...
Elizabeth - I am cracking up over the oranges! LOL! That is still too cute!

Sarah is the same way. I was starting to worry that she was a weirdo or something.
I had a litttle stuffed lamb that I slept with until I was about 15.

Emily used to have a "lovie" until one morning when I went in there and it was covering her face! So now she has one of those "my first dollies." she just likes to hold something tight while she falls esleep and if it's not the dolly it;s usually my arm -- and I can't just sit there with my arm in the crib!

My son has a puppy dog blanket that he absolutely loves! He pratically takes it everywhere with him and sleeps with it. It is so soft and cuddly. He got it for his first Christmas from a good friend of mine. Thank goodness it is machine washable! Image Attachment(s):

Jared has something similiar from Carter's Dog Gone Cute Collection. It's a puppy head connected to a blanket. He loves it!!

Caiden's "security blanket" is his baseball hat. He finally just started to wear a new one we got him. He was wearing the same hat for over a year. It was all ripped and worn. He didn't care, he LOVED that hat. He'd even have to sleep in it!

my dd has a pacifier, but no toys or blankets or anything like that. and my son is a thumb sucker, he is perfectly happy with only that, lol. i never had a special toy, pacifier, or blanket when i was little either. maybe its hereditary, lol.
