Holiday gift suggestion?
For my 70-something year old step-grandmother. She is an AWESOME lady. Very sweet and simple. Her husband, my step-grandfather passed away this year and I would like to get her something extra special this year. In the past we've bought (them) a GC to a restaurant, candies, crystal, kitchen stuff, etc.
I want to get her something really nice this year. However it cant be more than $25 or so. Any suggestions? Shes not the beautycare type of lady. Shes very much into family.....I just dont know what would be good to get.

Re: Holiday gift suggestion?
How about a nice frame with a family pic in it?
Or invite her over for dinner? Josh's grand parents like that the most- they don't get out much.

Re: Holiday gift suggestion?
What about a basket filled with stuff to keep in touch with people...you could put in stationary, envelops, address book, stamps, phone card, etc.

How about a basket filled with the things that she liked the most...chocolates...coffee....cookies...Piruline wafers...etc....... I think that would be nice and it's something she can enjoy...... And Michaels has the baskets 50% off. I was there yesterday....the one in Commack...and they have beautiful ones.....

Something personalized from Things Remembered. A monogrammed tote bag from Lands End or LL Bean

Re: Holiday gift suggestion?
How about a small scrapbook. You can probably do that for less than 25 if you have a scanner at home

Re: Holiday gift suggestion?
I second the scrap book, or maybe buy a really nice photo album and fill it with great pictures of the family.

This is a great idea! I think a photo album with pictures or frame with a picture would be ideal.

Re: Holiday gift suggestion?
My former landlady's granddaughter made her a calendar with all family photos in it and put all the family birthdays and anniversaries in it too. I thought it was a really thoughtful gift. I made a photo calendar on Shutterfly for about $20, I think.
