I shop for Christmas all year long actually. Makes it so much easier when the holidays roll around - I only have to pick up a thing or two, and it streches out the money I'm spending on gifts over 12 months.
I also wrote out most of my Christmas cards the other day when I was bored.....now all I have to do is stamp them and put them in the mailbox!
And I thought I was ahead.

I've never understood that. How do you know what to get people?
If I buy my cousin a video game, he may have it by then. Or not want it anymore.
Do you just get everyone a sweater?
And where tdo you store it?
I actually came up with an idea for my mr aunts & grandmas in June, but I don't want to buy it, in case they get them on there own first.

Yeah right. I like getting things done ahead of time, but not this far ahead! I actually got angry today when I saw Halloween candy for sale in the supermarket already.

I buy little odds and ends for christmas gifts from LTD! So, if I need a gift for a random relative or friend....I have extras.
I usually buy things that I think people will like when I see them....like my sister loves Cold Stone ice cream....so I bought her a personal size cold stone to keep in the freezer....i know she'd never buy it for herself, but would love to have it.
I also like to buy things at the end of the Christmas season, when they're on sale, for the following season.
It's really just an excuse to shop all year round!!
We have a nice big storage closet where we keep all of the junk we have no other place for....i am a master organizer - and it's all stuffed in there

NO Way!..Im going away this weekend where they are having Christmas in July and I havent even even shopped for that yet!! 
My mom is so cute..she just called and said, "I have to finish wrapping "Christmas" presents!
Tomorrow after work, I will hit the store..LOL

I have picked up a few things so far over the past few months but usually pick things up all year long.
The year I got married killed me because I bought NOTHING until after the wedding which was in September and I got VERY stressed.

I usually start in August but who knows when I will start this year we are supose to close on our house this Tuesday and to say that there is a ton of work to be done on the house puts it mildly.

Thanks. I start little by little so that the cost of all the gifts does not hit me all at once. No, I am not a teacher but a very anal organized person.

That's why I start early - I can't stand being at the mall during December and try to avoid it at all costs!
A lot of the stuff I buy early is for the kids in the family, and things I am pretty sure they won't get by then (only one birthday is between Sept. & Dec.)
