Used to use them not anymore, when we got married they went in the garbage.... I cannot imagine going back to them.

Nope. I have not used pills, condoms, or any birth control methods in 4 years and never once get pregnant. Well we used the withdrawal method which proves not to be effective for some people but it sure works for me.

after our son was born...and I didn't want to go back on BCP..since I got PG using them... I figured whats the point. We used condoms for a little while...but quickly realized that I was allergic to them...so we used the VCF tabs...and I figure that they work, because I never got PG while using them. Now we don't really use anything...we are not activally TTC until the summer...but we figure what ever happens is meant to happen...so we will just wait and see.

This might be a way too personal question to ask, but my curiosity is sparked - those of you who do not use them, did you both get tested for STD's before deciding to forgo the condoms? There are no other forms of BC that will prevent STDs except for them.

Very Good point...I would assume that since most of are married we have been at some point.
DH and I were both tested for all STD's when we started dating...and I was tested again when I became PG...routine PG tests. DH is a SGT in NYPD and while I was PG he arrested someone that punched DH...there was some blood so the DPT tested him for Hepatitis and HIV every 3 months for a yr....everything negative.

This is an excellent question. DH and I stopped using condoms ONLY after we both were tested for everything.

After having the baby we used them while I was deciding/experimenting with other forms of BC.
ETA: If I was single, there's no way I would do it without them. I think your replies will depend alot on the marital status of the people you ask.

We haven't used them in years. It wasn't so much of a mood killer for me in terms of opening the pakcage, putting them on- but the smell of them grosses me out.
