Why do people open their BIG mouths???
We were at a party and a girl was there who actuallyworked at my new school a while back...I am so nervous so I am trying get everyone's gage on the school.. I tell her where I am working and she says "OMG get out of there as quickly as possible" of course this made me upset....
DH says to just wait and form my own opinion I just wish people would keep some things to themselves

Dont go by her. Im sure you will do FINE and ya knwo what? IF you decide this isnt the school for you, you will have more experience and the ability to try and find something with an added bonus on your resume next year.

one persons experience is as individual as the person..It is good advice to wait and form your own opinion...I know its unsettling to hear as you are already nervous..but wait and see..time will tell..A couple of years ago we were getting a new boss..we heard all these not so good things about this person and I have to say I got nervous but I waited and this person for me was a pleasure to work with..i wish you good luck...

I agree you should form your own opinion but I am not sure why everyone is mad at this girl. You said that you asked everyone their opinion about the school so you could get a feel for it. She gave you her opinion. She hated it. Not sure why everyone thinks she should have kept her mouth shut.
Maybe I am misreading something.

Everybody's experience is different. She might have been a horrible teacher and that's why she had a negative experience there. Try to go in with an open mind and have a great year..you deserve it after all of your job searching!

Kathleen don't let anyone else influence you. For all you know, this person was let go or was the cause of problems and that is why they are telling you that. If she was professional, she would have simply said good luck and wished you the best.
