We're home! Birth story and pics...
Hi everyone we're back! Thanks so much for the well wishes. Here's my birth story:
Sunday night my water broke, but I didn't know it! I thought I had just lost my mucus plug, because it wasn't that much liquid. So I walked around for days with broken water. I had an appointment Wednesday night where they determined that I was indeed leaking amniotic fluid. I was sent to the hospital for antibiotics in case of infection.
Thursday morning I was induced. I had been having mild contractions on my own, but at 7:00 a.m. they started the pitocin. I managed the contractions for about four hours and then asked for the epidural. However, I just didn't dilate. I only got to 2 cm, so at about 2:30 p.m. they decided I needed a c-section.
Ryan Joseph was born at 3:30 p.m., 8 lbs. 5 oz., 20 inches long and we are in love!  Here are some pictures.  Image Attachment(s):
