There was a valid reason. His design BLEW and it was unfinished. Angela was being a complete sppiled brat, butt hen again Vincent didn't even let her really work on it and in the end the dress came out fine.... I think the finished product is more important than the teamwork, and their gown (rgardless of what her participation actually was) was 100 times better than Malan's. They were only on that runway because of ehr attitude, not because of the garment.

I just dont agree..........I know the dress wasnt what the model wanted but it had more details and creativity then vincents dress had at all!!!!The challenge was to come up with a dress and work as a team---Malan did both of those---maybe it wasnt exactly the best dress but atleast he had an idea and executed it for the runway.....angela did nothing she neither help create a dress or work in a team!! I feel she really should have gone not malan!!!! I think as usual they kept her for the conflict aspect of the show just like they always did santino from last season!

I thought they were going to keep Malan for the drama.....
I think malan's dress was the ugliest POS I've ever seen. When he said it looked like it was carved from a log, I was thinking ti looked like it was carved from something else 
It may have been more "creative" but it was ugly. Santino was very creative, but some of his designs were hideous. Wearing Vincent's dress she wouldn't be the laughingstock, whereas there is no imaginable way for anyone to wear malan's dress anywhere

I really thought Malan would be the villain this season, but I found myself feeling badly for him, and I liked him despite his quirks. I also respected the way he didn't throw Katherine under the bus and admitted that he should have been the one sent home over her.
Vincent is nuts.
When is all this drama supposed to happen?  Also, if someone is asked to leave, I wonder if they will bring back a previously auf'ed designer? They did something similar on Top Chef when one of the chefs had to quit.

I hated Malan in the first episode, but I kind of felt bad for him last night. I thought Angela would be the one to go, but as much as I hated the sleeves, I think Vincent's dress was better than Malan's dress. Malan's dress was very detailed, but it didn't look good and the color was awful. The bottom also looked terrible. I think the one with the worst dress/lowest score usually gets voted off, which was why Malan went home instead of Angela.

We so wanted Angela to leave also! I thought Malan was so snotty until they showed parts of him that were more vulnerable on the show. IMO, i thought Malan had more to offer after the first 2 challenges than the girl did. Yes, his dress sucked and was ugly, but at least he created something and worked on something unlike the other girl!
We figured this was one of the times the producers had a say in who stayed, simply because Angela would cause some controversy. which we figured was dumb.

See, I thought they'd keep Malan, because he initially seemed like the more controversial figure. But from the way the others were talking in the apartment, it seems like they all dislike Angela, and we're not seeing it all yet.
I think Malan's dress's biggest flaw was the color- I think it had potential. Also, he was toast as soon as they saw that the bottom wasn't hemmed. It was an ambitious idea that didn't work.
Am I the only one who liked Ulli's dress MUCH more? I thought it was so sophisticated. But Miss USA seemed to prefer pouf.

No! I thought her dress was gorgeous - the cut, color and material...loved it all. The dress Miss USA picked was total pageant - Uli's dress was more red carpet.
I really wanted Angela voted off - she didn't even sketch! I felt for Malan...his designw as ambitious but the execution fell short. In the end, the show is about design and as the team leader it was bound to be that he'd be Auf'd.
Uli, the redhead and the coffee filter guy from Atlanta are my 3 favorite right now.
