August Mommies To Be

How are we all feeling at the start of the 2nd trimester? Has the morning sickness gone away? How much weight was gained?

Re: August Mommies To Be

I personally never had m/s but I have to say I have more energy now then I did a few weeks ago.

I am 15 weeks this week and gained 8 lbs. I gained it quick because I was eating to try and offset my tiredness. The eating has slowed down and I actually feel like I lost some weight, but I'm not dieting.

I'm 16w3d, and I'm definitly feeling better with the m/s. However I still get queasey when I don't eat enough. As far as weight gain, not sure. When I went for my NT ultrascreen at 13 wks I was down 3lbsChat Icon But now that I'm eating better I feel like I've gained a little. I am however still tired all the time, but I was like that before i got PG. Feel good August mommies.Chat Icon

Re: August Mommies To Be

I am 18 weeks and my m/s is about gone. I am feeling a lot better and have some energy. I have gained 5 lbs so far. I go on Wednesday for my Level II sonogram. I had an amnio done last week because the blood test for Down's did not come back good. We got the results from the amnio on Friday and the baby is perfect and we also found out we are having a boyChat Icon

I am not calling him junior or putting junior on his birth certificate but him & daddy will have the same name.

Re: August Mommies To Be

HI Everyone!!!

I'm about to start week 16!!!!! I've gained about 4-6lbs in total. I didn't have M/S - but I do have more energy now.
My back is killing me most of the time (sciatic nerve pain).

I had a ultrascreen at week 12 and on Thursday I have blood work (AFP)

Baby's heartrate - 160 at week 12 and 150 at week 15 1/2.

Re: August Mommies To Be

Are you all in maternity clothes??

I have two pairs of regular pants that still fit nice and comfortable. The rest are maternity pants - really just for comfort.

I've only worn a maternity top once or twice - I borrowed a bunch of sweaters from my mom - I can't wait for the weather to warm up!!!

Re: August Mommies To Be

I've been wearing maternity clothes for a little while. I had big boobs to begin with but they really blew up since I have been PG. Most of my tops don't fit because of my chest.

I have been slowly wearing clothes and just buying maternity since I'm in Florida and will be able to wear the spring/summer all season.

I will be going for my ultrasound at 17 weeks. When I went for my 12 week my OB didn't do one. I just heard the heart beat and everything sounded good.

All of my blood tests have came back good so far!!!

Hi everyone....I'm glad everyone is feeling well. I'm 15w 1d today and feeling pretty good. I don't think I have gained that much weight - maybe 4 lbs but I'm still in all my own clothes - no materity clothes yet. I'm starting to withdrawal from not shopping. I am starting to have cravings....I can eat Chicken Caesar Salad every single night! Anyone else getting cravings?

We aren't finding out the sex, what is everyone else doing?

I am not in maternity clothes yet. I can still fit into mine but I am soon going to have to get maternity tops especially for work.

We aren't finding out the sex either. Although sometimes I wish we were, but I will definitely keep it a surprise. I have a hunch its a girl. It's just feelings though and they say feelings are almost always right.

It's funny you say that because I have always felt I'm having a boy, right from the beginning. I guess we will both have to wait to see if we are right.

Re: August Mommies To Be

Can't believe we're in the 2nd trimester!

I'm feeling good - up 2 lbs so far. I have worn the 3-6 month cargo maternity from Old Navy because my waistline is definitley not fitting in my normal pants. I almost wore a maternity top today but it just felt so big on me so I changed. I'm 14w 3 days and I think soon I will be making the switch on top. Part of me can't wait to start showing and not just look like I ate a big lunch:)

Glad everyone is feeling good. We're 1/3 of the way thereChat Icon Chat Icon

I am due at the very end of August.

I will be 14 weeks tomorrow. I feel good, never had morning sickness..thank goodness so thats wonderful. Sometimes I feel a heaviness in my stomach especially when I am on my feet too much but nothing extreme. I am peeing like crazy though! I was shocked to find out it started so early, I cant imagine what it will be like later on! I am not sleeping well, between getting up to use the bathroom and my husbands snoring..UGH!

So far, so good though. I cant really complain. I hope you are all doing well..cant wait to share the rest of the journey with ya! Chat Icon

We're not finding out the sex either. We want to be surprised. I have absolutely no feeling whether it's a boy or a girl. DH thinks it's a girl, and most other guesses have been girl, but I have no idea! We'll see in August. Chat Icon
