I'm starting to hate "In my opinion", just becuse the more I think about it the less sense it makes...of course, you're stating your own opinion...i wouldn't assume you were stating someone else's!

I agree on this too, yet on these chat boards if you dont say it IMO people seem to think that you are telling them what THEIR opinion should be and they get very angry .

Well I look at " In my Opinion" not as you are letting them know its your opinion and not someone elses but that its just " AN Opinion" not a "Fact" - its just the way you happen to feel about a subject.

There are so many work phrases that drive me nuts but one only comes to mind at the moment:
"Let's try it - just for S & G's" (sh!ts & giggles)
Oh...I use that one all the time.
I hate the word "whatnot"....that's not even a word!! An old boss used to use that word like 50 times a day....once in a meeting, a co-worker and I would keep a tick sheet of how many times this guy would say whatnot and try
