Sad news
I had a miscarriage We went for a sono at week 6 and everything was good, DH and I saw a heartbeat. But by my next appointment last Monday, week 9 it no longer had a heartbeat. I had a D&C the next day. I'm doing better now, both mentally and physically. We had so many hopes and dreams for our little bean.
I know a few of you girls have also gone through this and are now pregnant. How long did you wait before you started to try again and how long before you were pregnant again? Thanks, I hope to join you again soon! When we do get pregnant again I'm going to want a sono every week!!!

Re: Sad news
Oh I am so sorry It's so hard right now, I can truly say I know how you feel
I too suffered a miscarriage at 5 weeks, 5 days on 7/20/05, we were devasted! I m/c'd naturally passed all the tissue in 2 days, by day 3 my levels were down signficantly to 56.
Dr wants us to wait 2-3 months to start again. Honestly, physically I felt fine a couple days after the bleeding stopped. My levels were zero one week after the m/c.
SHhh..me and DH have not been careful. Whatever happens happens..
I am soo sorry for your loss, take care of yourself. FM me if you need to talk

Re: Sad news
i'm soooo sorry for your loss. It saddens me to know that someone else has gone through this. It's a common occurence, but I wouldn't wish this type of loss on my worst enemy. I, too, had a mc this year, at 16 weeks. I had to give labor. All I can say is that it'll be really hard for a while, but it WILL be easier one day. Mourn as much as you want, and don't let anyone tell you different. You'll go through a period of sadness, anger, and blaming... but try to know that this was NOT your fault.

Re: Sad news
AHH!! No more!!! It breaks my heart anytime I hear that someone had to suffer through an m/c, it really does. Most of the people on here know my story, but here it is in case you don't know - I got pregnant in November, and miscarried exactly 6 weeks later, on December 17th. I bled and passed all the tissue naturally for about 3-4 days. I needed to feel intimacy with DH, so we BD'd right after the bleeding stopped (it didn't feel weird at all because for me, the bleeding was like a short period, not really painful at all). Two weeks later I went to the Dr. who told me to wait 2-3 months. Turns out, he was a little late in telling me that because as I sat in his office, unbeknownst to either of us, I was already pregnant again. I conceived about a week after the miscarriage!
My Dr. reassured me that conceiving again so quickly does not raise your chances of miscarrying again - in fact, studies show you're most fertile right after a miscarriage. Most doctors recommend the 2-3 month wait when you've miscarried further along (to make sure the lining in your uterus is ready again for implantation), and to ensure that you take the time to greive and mentally prepare yourself for pregnancy again. I can say, although I'm THRILLED about this pregnancy, and I"m now 34 weeks, the first 12 weeks were absolutely TERRIFYING because it happened so quickly. And, when you get pregnant right after a miscarriage, it screws up the dates a little because you don't have an LMP, which can make everything even more complicated and stressful.
So, really, what it comes down to is when you feel mentally and physically ready. Give yourself the time you need to grieve - for some women it takes 3 months, for others, one week. If you have ANY questions, or need to talk, please FM me!!!
