I voted butter, but I am curious for the people who say mayo grosses them out.

If the sandwich was made with mayo, and you ate it and couldn't tell it was mayo, why would it bother you? I really am trying to understand that. I have a mayo hater in my family and I was talking about a cake made with mayo and was promptly told NEVER to bring that cake to his house Chat Icon But, if it's mixed in and doesn't have a mayonaise taste, why not eat it?

Forgive the hijack, Colleen Chat Icon

I totally agree, if you didn't know and liked it - why would you care?

I hate mayo, but if something was made with it and I couldn't taste it, I'd eat it. I think I'd rather not know it was made with mayo though.

Re: Grilled Cheese

I have never made one with mayo. I am a butter girl. I wonder what it tastes like. I don't put mayo on sandwiches but I wonder what happens when it is cooked.

Mayo is really just oil (ok, with some gg) but you definitely do not taste the mayo. It melts the same way the buter does...but I think it tastes so much better with mayo (obviously Chat Icon).

Try it! Chat Icon

I have never had Mayo - so I guess my preference would be butter. But I also love a grilled cheese with some bacon!!!
