Re: Anyone have a big 1st birthday party?
I'm onto something here! Look at all the kiddies -- we need a LI kids party planning site. Between babies, bar mitzvahs and "super sweet 16's" yuo cuold support a whole site.

Re: Anyone have a big 1st birthday party?
We had a really big 1st bday too...Puppet show, face painting the works...When my son turns 2 in march its definitley going to be smaller. My husband comes from a very large family so it's hard to figure out who doesnt get invited this time. But I can't do a big one again

We had a big christening and are having an even bigger 1st bday(guest list is over 100 ) at a hall known for the great weddings they have
I dont care what others think, we just feel that we are able to give our son something spectacular so why not?
Will he remember it...no....will he see pic and video, sure.
Don't feel bad.. ours was 260 lol and you and I have the same mentality.
You wouldnt believe what some of my "friends" have said to me (and behind my back) about this freakin party. I am having a cake made by the same woman who made my DH's grooms cake and its $$$ one friend said to me how stupid I was for spending that amount of money on a cake no one was going to eat. She and her hubby were "X" on the guestlist
They are only saying that out of envy and jealousy. so tell them to shut up and just keep on with your planning lol I never thought about the $$$, I thought about what the importance of the celebration was to us and each of our children's first birthday was a very big moment for us. We gave each of these kids life, I sure as hell am going to celebrate that!

Re: Anyone have a big 1st birthday party?
Well you are all putting me to shame. I haven't even thought about his birthday which is only a month away!
I imagine it'll be pretty small and it'll be at my house. Now I have some serious planning to do!
Thanks for the motivation (and the ideas!!)

Would you know where to rent a clubhouse in the Nassau-Suffolk boarder? How much? Thank you.
