Re: Glucose Test
It's not too bad! The orange flavored drink is overly sweet but doesn't really taste BAD. Like a cheap kid's drink or punch.
Good luck!!!!

Re: Glucose Test
Any ideas on what I should have for lunch - they told me nothing sweet - but I can't think of what to eat. I just don't want to fail this test - cause I do not want to take it again

Re: Glucose Test
i personally would follow the directions your dr. provided and eat the way you would normally eat. i failed both, but wanted an "accurate" reading in case there was something potentially wrong. i did not want to try to pass for the sake of passing. there are ways to "trick" the test and since different dr.'s take various approaches, the accuracy of the tests and diagnoses of GD have been questioned and criticized by many...

Oh I totally believe this - they just told me not to eat anything sweet. I just have nothing in the house, so I have to go buy something - that is why I was asking

Posted by Marcie Oh I totally believe this - they just told me not to eat anything sweet. I just have nothing in the house, so I have to go buy something - that is why I was asking see, i find that strange...
i was told to eat what i normally eat and stop 4 hours prior. since i went first thing in the morning, i didn't eat anything from 11:00 pm the night before.
for the 3 hour i was instructed to eat a carb at every meal for 3 days straight. different dr.'s say different things which inevitably skew the results, i find this very frustrating...
