spingoff to words you hate...
are there any expressions you hate?
Whenever we would complain that we didn't have enough room in the car or our bedrooms my dad would say "may you have this much room in heaven"
which doesn't make any sense, because if heavens so great, wouldn't you have a ton of room?

"Good Morning Sunshine!" It sounds really sweet but when your mom is saying it really loud because you went out the night before it loses its meaning.

When we were having it too good, my dad used to always say we were "Living the life of Riley." As a kid, I never understood who Riley was and why he had such a good life.

Re: spingoff to words you hate...
I used to say these phrases often but after struggling with IF, I cannot stand them!
"if it is meant to be....it will happen" or "things happen for a reason"

"Not for nothing"
what the heck does that mean?? If you are saying the words, then obviously youre not saying them for "nothing"
and
"At the end of the day"
bc my old boss said that in every sentence

Well, gramatically, if it's "not for nothing", then it IS for somethng...so the expression is doubly stupid

How about "I don't mean to be a b!tch but...." which is always followed by the person being a b!tch.

I hate when people say supposebly or supposively instead of supposedly. I always hated it and then it came up in a friends episode.
