for all the dog lovers out there....
am i crazy??
everytime we go to mcdonalds, i order our 7month old lab a cheeseburger with no onions, along with our meal.
he needs a treat, too, right!?
DH says we're crazy!!

he's our first baby! he gets away with murder! he has to sleep in bed with us, usually between dh and i .. it's so cute ... most of the time!

Sandy sleeps right in between the 2 of us. Sometimes I like it and sometime not. She is funny b/c she gets annoyed if we dont let her get in the middle.

We don't feed Rocky fast food but my mother specifically is making more chicken entrees for dinner because she puts aside a little chcken, steams it, and gives it to him along with his dog food. He's my parents "child" who doesn't answer them back so he gets spoiled.

Sonic HAS to sleep with us every night (with me, not so much with FH)... and he has to physically touch me, either put his paw on me or sleep against my back 
a few times when I have the flu, I put him in his room (the dogs have their own room), he just won't have it, he would bark and cry all night.
VERY spoiled little boy (but I wouldn't feed him a McDonald's cheeseburger though  )

My dog gets lots of people food too. She always has and it's never been an issue for her belly. I know that lots of people say tabel food is bad for a dog, but my first dog got tons of people food and lived until 17- so I just can't buy into that theory.

We feed our dogs meat on occasion (usually a small piece of filet from the butcher), but I don't think I would feed my dogs fast food. That can't be good for the dog's health in the long run.

they say Mutts/mixed breeds are ok with it but not good for pure breeds to eat table food.

It's not...if it's not good for us it certainly can't be good for them.
Exactly. Their digestive systems aren't meant to handle foods w/high fat contents.
Isn't there a n editorial on pets & obesity on the news tonight?

my grandma had a beagle and would feed it table food and that poor dog got so big just stomach area that it got cancer and had to be put to sleep. this dog walked so weird too, small head and then this huge body. poor thing my grandma meant well like most dog owners but its not good for them.

My DH's Aunt does this to her dog all the time. His legs are skinny and his belly is HUGE! He eats table food non stop. The poor dog has major hip problems and can hardly move.

We are lucky in that Lacie has no interest in people food. We can eat it around her and she could care less. If a chip or something falls on the floor, she will eat it but that is the extent of it. I am very happy about that!
She is also one that has to sleep in the middle of us at night and touch us in one way or another with her paw or nose. It is cute and I have gotten used to it fast. Now I wake up when she isn't in the bed.

same here. right from day 1 he has always gotten little treats of whatever we are eating. he isn't overweight and seems to have no trouble w/ his digestive tract w/ any kind of food, dog or human. the vet even said to increase his food!

Both my first dog and my dog now are purebreeds- standard shnouwzer and a husky.

Same here with Otis but when we do go McDonalds at least the one by us they give him dog treats!! So when we go there its like he knows he also gets something from them!!

My mother always does this for her dogs. I think it's a little extreme, but the dogs love it.

Another one of the reasons table food is not good for dogs on a regular basis is that its usually too soft and it doesnt clean their teeth well enough. My husband's family dog has rotten teeth cause she was fed table food all her life....
