Yeah Im sure if you stick with it the weight will come off, but it was hard for me stick with it after some time and I didnt always feel satisfied. Im going back to WW as well.

SO, I got my nutrisystem shipment today and I ordered all of my favorite items.
WEll, DH forgot to custom order his before the shipment went out and he's got more of those NASTY maher things then you could imagine.
Part of me wants to go- hello, I reminded you 3 X to order---- but in reality I am going to share the wealth. But, it will be fun to bust chops when he gets home.

Well, it's just about a month for me and I lost about 6 lbs. My goal was 10 lbs, so I came close but not close enough. I got my 2nd box of food and this time I ordered my favorites so it should be a little better, less temptation to cheat. My goal for this month is 8 lbs. So today is 2/21, by 3/21 I would like to be down another 8 lbs.

That is still a good loss. I lost 7lbs the first month, but then cheated valentines week and it is like I am starting over. No problem. I jumped right back into it yesterday. Day two for me and I am ready to take it on.
It also helps that my new order has all of my favorites

Hi... I'm thinking of cancelling...not because the program isn't a good one...but our bills are piling up & I have been cheating lately. I'm thinking about finishing up my food & then sticking around 1000 calories per day. any thoughts from anyone? I have lost about 9 pounds in a month & a half. & I have been cheating also. so I think that is pretty good. I guess I am just wondering if I can do the same watching calories...I think nutri-system has helped me to know portion control & given me some motivation to watch what I eat. even though I have been cheating...I pick better choices, drink more water & eat more fruits & veggies than ever...Kim

Yummy recipe - I made this last night
Flame Broiled Burgers - Mexican Style
I made the hamburger pattie the way it says on the package.
First I sauteed Mushrooms, onions and minced Garlic. Then I added the cooked Hamburger Pattie and chopped up the pattie. I Mixed the meat and the veggies up and added Medium Salsa in to the pan. I coated the veggies and the meat with the Salsa, let that heat up and then placed it on a Plate
I finished it off with Shredded low fat Cheddar Cheese Yummmmm. Scott

I think 1000 cal / day is too low, you may want to keep it at 1200 cal/day. I think you'll still lose weight. Like you said NS is all about portion control and its low-glycemic index foods. So try and eat whole grains and very limited sugars and it will work. Im back on WW now, but NS did help show me how to control my portions and how to eat smaller meals throughout the day.

thanks for the advice Mrs A I think I will do that... 1200cals a day & whole grains... this morning I am at a 10 pound weight loss. I honestly didn't think I'd get this far...so I am pleased... good luck everyone & I'll let you know if I change my mind... Kim

Well this week I weighed in and stayed the same as last week- which is fine. I cheated Sat night - we went out for Peruvian food and Sunday we ate WAY TOO much. I need to stick tothe formula and eat the right sides with the entress.

how's everyone doing lately- I need to stop cheating and get strict again. I gained a couple of pounds --- its my own fault.
I am going to try to do this right again!!!!
DH needs to behave as well- the socializing crap and my pms killed us this week.
So hopefully I willget backon track!

I went back to weight watchers. I cancelled my next shipment and any other shipment after that.
I have almost a full month of food to sell if anyone is interested in it. Scott

Good Luck to everyone still on the plan!! I know its not easy to 'stick' to it, but if you do, it'll be worth it
I was within about 7 pounds of my tentative 'goal' so I decided to cancel my N/S membership and wean myself back into regular food and healthy eating. So I am no longer buying the food and so far, so good. I am eating the same way though, small portions, about 6 times a day, and haven't gained a thing back ... its always been about portion control for me, and that is the biggest thing I learned from this program
I'll keep checking up on the thread to root you all along and see how you are all doing! Good luck!!

Hi guys!!!!!!!! Sounds like most are doing well and we lost some!!!
I reached my goal of 20 lbs but going for more. I took a break this month from N/S but get my delivery again next month. Im testing the waters, LOL. still working out, 2x a week with a trainer, 3x week Jazzercise and treadmill at home, I have to or I feel guilty, especially now that I am eating regular foods.
Keep up the great work everyone!!!!!!

I am not doing N/S right now either and believe me its a challenge but I know you can do it. Take what you learned and what you ate to help you see what foods work well together and help your metabolic rate. For me example of a day
Oatmeal 1 pkg with water, sprinkle teaspoon of cinnamon 1 small banana
mid morning snack
Yogurt- regular or lite 8 oz I do NOT eat the fat free ones- they have artificial sweetners in them
Lunch
Grilled chicken I made from night before on george foreman grill, on a bed of lettuce with 1 tablespoon of grated parm and 2 tablespoons of regular caesar dressing. sometimes I leave out the caesar and use oil and vinagrette dressing same measurement
a fruit and a small jello pack
Mid day snack if I need it
any diary- polly o part skim string, cottage cheese with fruit, yogurt, laughing cow light cheese
Dinner
either chicken , fish, turkey, with 2 veggies I keep same from N/S the non heavy starchy ones, a small potato or cut 1 in half AND a salad too but this salad I add either olives or avocado
Usually I am full and dont have a snack but if I do I eat the Healthy Popcorn microwave packs, a jello- NO cool whip of any, and if I really want chocolate just a serving that is on the label. I read a lot of labels now.
If I have pasta or rice- I just have the serving size.
I also exercise and try to drink the water, I have been so laxed with the water- I have to get back on track with that.
Best of luck to you and the nice weather is coming- go for walks at night if you cant go to the gym. also you can do many exercises right in your home without machines, get an exercise video of cardio do abs watching tv, get hand held weights do curls while watching tv but watch your form. You'd be surprised how much you can really do at home. but again I know you can totally do it.
If you find yourself cheating or not eating right- do a food diary sometimes when you see it you'd be really shock. also make up a week on the computer of what you are going to eat for the week by day and by meals and put it on the fridge so you are reminded and dont get off track. Its also a good idea to make sure you are always prepared for the meals too meaning like I do food shopping for the week and know what to prepare and use fresh herbs for seasoning and veggies too.
Oh english muffins have a great light whole grain muffin too! use that if you want a lean burger- dont like turkey or chicken burgers buy the 95% lean chop meat- its more $$ but if you are watching your intake then its worth it. Most times I use the 85% its half the price.
I also do NOT eat coldcuts or bread really except for whole grain english muffins or rolls for a turkey burger. and always use extra virgin olive oil, good luck and any questions dont hesitate to ask me. Janice
