Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
Looking at myself....I don't think I like the way I look....OMG...look at my belly! EW.
Should I try to find something else or how would I accessorize this? Image Attachment(s):

I don't think you need to wear a necklace, maybe some hanging earrings.
BTW.... Spanxx or a girdle will smooth out the belly....You just had a baby 2 months ago and look great.

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
I like the dress- and think its fine...
BUT I think you have an adorable shape- and might be able to find something that shows that off a little better....
However- I would def. add a nice necklace, and some dangly earrings!

I agree, I think dangly earrings and nice necklace, but a simple necklace, bit to much. Know what I mean?

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
honestly....it looks a little big on you as well. Is it zipped up in the picture?
I think you look great but I think the dress doesnt do you justice at all. I think the fit/flare type of dress would be much better and you would feel more comfortable I think.

IMO, That type of material is not flattering on anyone, unless you're Lindsay Lohan or some other skinny b!tch. I think that you can find something else that will look wonderful on you.

TY for your honesty Donna! I happen to think that as well....it's an over the head type dress and it is a 14. It was the only one in the store...I thought about having it altered, but I think I prefer the fit n flare (geez...I wore this style for MY sweet 16 YEARS ago!)

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
I love the color on you Shana, but I will say that the dress doesn't look like it fits. It does look big. And from my own personal experience, when you're wearing the right undergarments, it makes a difference, too. You look awesome for just having had a baby, so please don't be hard on yourself. Before I'd get a new dress, I'd try some stuff underneath because a dress in that fabric shows everything, so it needs something seamless underneath.

This time of year, pre-prom season, try Macy's! Use the coupons that you get in the paper if you can. Do you have a Lord and Taylor near you? Also, sometimes, TJ Maxx has those sections.

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
Hey Shana! I agree that another shape would be better. I think a halter top that goes out under the chest would be best. I got one for a wedding we went to lately...And I always go for black when I want to look most slim. Good luck! I think something like this but in a dark color would be best.

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
I agree with others who said it looks a little big on you. If you really like the dress, maybe go to a tailor and have it taken in a little. As for accessories, I'd limit it to earrings, since it is such a bold color, you really don't need anything else.
J Crew has some nice evening-type dresses too if you want to buy a new one.

Re: Here's That Dress....how do I accessorize or should I get a new one?
I think the problem is that the panel in the mid-section is too plain and just lays there... I think you need a 2 piece or some kinda distraction from the mid-section...and yes the top part looks too big.....AUGGGGGGGGGHHHHH our post baby bodies!!! Trust me I know!!

Please dont be mad,but that is the most unflattering dress I have ever laid eyes upon. Try some of the other girls suggestions, there is a better dress suited for you.

honestly, yes. you should try to find something else. i don't think that dress compliments you at all. there's so many things wrong with it - not you - that i think you'd look much prettier in something much more flattering. jmho
