Re: 4th grade ELA question
I believe each grade 3-8 will have listening, multiple choice and a compare and contrast of two stories.

Re: 4th grade ELA question
The tests will be substantially longer this year. This document has small tables laying out specifics.
Link to memorandum
I too am a fan of the old tests- and I will pass on a tidbit from a Teacher's College staff developer who works with my school- she suggested we use the tests that are a year ahead (so I teach 7, I am going to use 8th) to prepare the kids because the expectation is that the content will be harder. Also, there will not be a sampler draft the way there was in 2005. I found the samplers very helpful but there is no money this year.
