4th of July Menu
We're having DH's fmaily over - they're big meat eaters and just eaters in general, but I think I'm making too much. What should I take out? Or is it okay?
Apps: Chips/Salsa and Guacamole Watermelon/Feta skewers Carrots/Hummus Raw Veggies Caprese skewers (not sure I'm doing this yet - depends on time)
Menu: Hamburgers Hot Dogs Sausage Chicken (we need all these choices b/c FIL doesn't eat Hams or Dogs and they all love Sausage) Corn on Cob (half a piece each) Pasta Salad Green Salad Either or Both: Bean, Tomato,Corn Salad/ Grlled Veggies -- WDYT?
Thanks!

Re: 4th of July Menu
Are your family big salad eaters? I know for my family, a regular greens salad never gets eaten at a BBQ, so for me.. I'd take that out.
My family also always expects potato salad at a BBQ.
I think grilled veggies is a nice addition
I think you can probably lessen your appetizers too (unless people are coming early and will be wanting to munch). I know we tend to fill up on appetizers which then makes the whole dinner seem like a waste... not to mention everyone being too full for all the goodies with dessert! I think chips, salsa and guacamole is fine... but I usually do more too anyway
