5 week old slept through the night and question

My baby is 5 weeks old, and she slept through the night for the firs time. Although may be a good thing I was concerned because her last feeding was at 11:30 pm, she was awake for a couple of hours and then went to sleep until 7:00 am. I wake up with any little noise se makes and she woke up just a little fuzzy as usual she was not crying starving but I woke up startled because that was almost 8 hours without eating. Do you guys think this is too much should I put my alarm to wake up sooner or is this ok.

My other question is I have a pediatrician appointment today for my 12 year old daughter, would it be ok or rude to ask a question regarding the baby. I figured I should ask my question at that time rather than calling since I don't have an emergency.

As long as your baby has no weight issues, I wouldn't wake her to eat. If she's hungry she'll wake up.

DS was about your DC age when he started STTN, for 7 hour stretches. I never woke him. He was perfectly healthy and had no weight issues, so I figured if he was hungry, hed wake up.

My DD started STTN at the around the same time. She slept from 11-7. We didn't wake her. We figured if she was hungry, she would wake up.
