5 weeks and already a TMI post... Diarrhea in early pregnancy?
I just looked on Baby Center, and apparently a lot of women have this.
I haven't been going as well as I normally do, and this morning woke up and had to go immediately, but it was not diarrhea. Then 2 hours later, I got that uh oh stomach ache and had to hit the bathroom asap.
Now I'm worried to leave the house today!!!
Anyone else?
Some of the posts on baby center seem to suggest they had this instead of morning sickness. I guess I'd rather poop than be naus, but I feel like I am chained to the bathroom.

This is me all through the pregnancy. It stinks, but I guess it's better than puking.
With DS I went at least once a day. Usually twice right till the end and same with this one. I'll feel fine then 2 seconds later I have to go. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and eat carbs for your belly. I stayed awayfrom high fiber foods. Feel well!

sometimes the prenatal vitamins will have a natural stool softener in them. Check the label. I have become very "regular" since starting them.

It could also be a sign of dehydration. Be careful and be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Re: 5 weeks and already a TMI post... Diarrhea in early pregnancy?
I had it on and off for my first tri, but I learned what my triggers were and was able to avoid them. For me, I got an upset stomach within 10 minutes of drinking Vitamin Water or eating any kind of fast food. Try to notice if you have any triggers too; that will really help.
Feel better!

Same here. I quickly found out my trigger is fatty food and ice cream.

Re: 5 weeks and already a TMI post... Diarrhea in early pregnancy?
I spoke to my doctor about this because I was having some problems too, not going for 2-3 days and then it was all coming out. She basically told me its natural because your tract is slowed down by hormones and all the changes. It all piles up and then it all comes out. Its ok as long as its not constant diarrhea for a few days where you can get dehydrated...
Feel better!!

I had this with both pregnancies, it was bad for a week or two then got much better. Make sure you drink enough water!
