5 weeks pregnant and Beta result

I posted this on Pregnancy too, but I thought I would post it here too.

I think I miscarried. I got my first beta test back with a 48. It seems really low for being 5 weeks pregnant.

Does anyone else remember their beta test results at 5 weeks pregnant?

I go for bloodwork again tomorrow and I find out the results friday, but I do not have any patience.

Here is a list from the American Pregnancy Association that shows the WIDE range of normal HCG levels...I hope it helps

3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal: <9.5 mIU/ml

I am not sure about the numbers but based on charly's post, your numbers sound within the normal range...good luck

What's important is they should double every 2 to 3 days, so for any real determination of good/bad you'll just have to have some patience.

From the chart, it looks like you're okay. It looks like the big jump should be at 6 weeks. Good luck!
