5 Year Old Twin Boys -- need gift etiquette advice...
My neighbors are having a b'day party on Sunday for their 5 year old twin boys. They like Wii so we got them Mariokart and an extra steering wheel. Total cost was $60.
Price wise -- i had planned on spending about $40-$50 each because my neighbors do so much for us and have always been very generous to our son and I only have 1.
I'm uncomfortable that we got them something for both of them rather than them individually. Would you also just get them something small individually (say like $15 each)? Is it bad that we got them a combo in the first place? I tried to tell DH that it might be a bad thing but he's like "no way, they'll love this". I'm sure they will but don't want to break any twin gift etiquette...

WWYD? And any gift suggestions while I'm at it?

I think the game is great, maybe get them each a little something (15 each or so)

I think thats enough. My sister, brother, and I are not twins and we often got video game stuff to share... and we loved it! You can always give them something under $10 if you really want to, like a nerf football or t-shirt.

As a twin...I hated getting a gift to share I'm sure they will love the game...but that's how I felt as a kid
What about a $10 or $15 gift card to TRU or Target so they can each pick something out for themselves too?

Having twins in my family...they liked seperate gifts.
You got them Mariokart (which I'm guessing comes with a steering wheel) AND an extra steering wheel for the other boy? I would get an extra game then...that way each child gets a game and a steering wheel.

duh!!!! I should have just called you last night when we bought it.
I think the gift card idea is a good one. I was going to get them separate cards anyway.
Jellybean, yes, we got the game which comes with the steering wheel plus an extra steering wheel.

than I would definetely get another video game if it's in your budget even if it doesnt go with the steering wheel that way each boy opens the same thing, a steering wheel and video game, KWIM?
