OH NO! My hair dryer!!

My beloved hair dryer passed away.

I went to use it just now, full wet head of hair, and POOF! It just sputtered and DEAD. It was a Tourmaline Tools by Hot Tools. It was pink Chat Icon

Anyone have a rec for a great hair dryer? I want one that is less damaging, if that is possible. I like to try and use less damaging stuff. But that gets the hair dry quick and gives a good burst of air - I hate when I feel like it isn't doing anything or that nothing is coming out.

If only the Israeli's made hair dryers. Chat Icon

Another for babyliss pro. I've had it for over 8 yrs and I looove it. It has 2000 watts and it cuts my drying time so much. It's also ionic, so not as damaging

I also have an Elchim that I love! It dries my hair so much faster than my last drier.

Re: OH NO! My hair dryer!!

I'm in the minority, but I do not think there is anything special about my Elchim. I am pretty disappointed with it.

I liked both my Babyliss and Super Salono much better.

You might be able to find it cheaper but here's the Elchim for $80. I ordered it through them.

elchim

ETA: I did a search and found it on Overstock for 69.99 and 2.95 shipping.

I'm in the market for a new hairdryer too. I have extremely thick hair that takes forever to dry.

So if you don't mind me asking.....Why are you disappointed with the Elchim? Does it have to do with how powerful it is? Does the Babyliss dry your hair faster or have a stronger air flow?
