Update on me and baby - Small Update Friday Night
A big thanks to Maria and everyone who has offered prayers.
I officially have pre-eclampsia. My blood pressure (which has consistently been normal throughout my pregnancy) is very high now. Add in my severe swelling and protein in my urine and I've now been admitted to the hospital and according to my doctor, won't be leaving until I have the baby... Like this weekend or if we can, try to keep baby in for as long as possible like another week. But it all depends on my blood pressure not spiking.
I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow. Baby was just estimated to be 3lbs, 10oz. So he/she is tiny still.
I and my baby can use all the prayers and positive vibes anyone can spare. I NEVER in a million years really thought I'd have such a premature baby and I'm still praying baby can stay in longer. Every day baby can stay inside is better for him/her.
I have faith everything will be ok. But I'm still extremely nervous. And scared. And a bit in denial. Hard to accept that I was supposed to be a May mommy and now will be a March mommy!!! Crazy! :(
Update Friday Night:
So my pressure went up too high. They had to start me on magnesium and I am officially having this baby sooner rather than later, but exactly when, we don't know yet.
I'm on orders to try to sleep, but they have the blood pressure cuff taking my BP every 15 minutes and it hurts like a ****** when it does it. And just now they put compression "socks" on my legs that alternate squeezing my legs (to prevent blood clots). So how exactly am I going to sleep? Lol. Alas, I will try because it looks like tomorrow (um, today, lol) will be a big day!
A HUMONGOUS shout out and thanks to Lupe (Bonitachyc) and Maria (Blissful) for coming to spend the evening with me at the hospital!!!! Definitely made the hours (and discomforts!) Pass by easier. :HUGS:
And a major thanksss to everyone for all your prayers. They mean SOOOOOO much to me!!! THANK YOU! I will try to update tomorrow if/when I can.

Hang in there and try to stay positive. Thankfully you and the baby are in the hopiital which is where you need to be right now. I know in my heart that all will turn out well for you and your LO!!!

My cousin had both her babies 8-10 weeks early and they are both perfect, smart, healthy little boys.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. Tons of that baby stays in for a bit longer and even if he doesn't that he is born strong and healthy. 32 weeks is not bad!

Your LO can just tell how much love there is going to be in their life and they are getting anxious to get out. You will be amazing mother whenever it happens.

Praying for you and the baby. Have had several friends who delivered at 32 weeks, and their children are all now healthy and strong and score very well on all of the aptitude tests.

Try not to stress too much. I have had several friends who have been through this. They were hospitalized for weeks before the babies were born. We are thinking of you!
