I have!

I alluded to the "i had no drugs, i make my own baby food, i breastfeed because its best for my baby - if you don't do these things, you're not looking out for your baby's best interest " genre in another post.

Throw in the fact that I leave my son with a babysitter 4 days a week - I might as well start saving for his bail now!

We were out @ the Riverhead outlets this weekend. My son was drinking a ready-to-feed similac 8oz bottle and eating a jar of earth's best sweet potatoes and cinnamon.

Some woman at the table next to us was breastfeeding what appeared to be a 3 yr old right there. He was running around the play area, then ran over to his mom, lifted her shirt, and pulled down on her tank so hard that the necklace she was wearing snapped. He nursed for about 5 minutes (as long as it took my son to finish his food) then she gathered up her things to leave the food court.

On her way out, she tapped me on the shoulder and told me that she wanted to make sure I was aware that I was feeding my son waaaaay too much sugar in that jarred food (she said it like I was feeding him fritos or something) and "He obviously he has a weight problem - you could've avoided that by breastfeeding him. Not to mention all the antibodies that would keep him healthy... I hope the little guy doesn't end up with any horrible diseases!"

DH just put himself between me and this woman, taking away any opportunity for me to open my mouth. (Love him for that!)

OMG- that is incredibly, incredibly rude of that woman! She has no right to judge you or comment on you as a parent. Maybe you don't agree with HER style - everyone has differnt styles. she was waaaay out of line. I'm sorry that happened to you - you're a great mom!

I would have said, "Well, clearly your son is old enough to unhook your bra, so that would be a clear sign to retire your booby."

that is BEYOND rude. and I bf and make his food. but I do it b/c I LIKE to and WANT to. and b/c it's cheaper (thus affording us the extra ching to save for bail )

there have been criminals LONG BEFORE the invention of formula and baby food jars.

I don't know what I would have done in your shoes.

And I've also gotten the ish for vaccinating my DD.

I had posted a while back about my BIL and SIL (DH's sister) who are VERY (and I don't mean to offend when I say...) Crunchy Granola.

The are all Gluton intolerant, sugar intolerant, dairy intolerant, etc, etc.......

My BIL is a chiropractor by trade, but is also an "energy" healer. I do believe in what he does because when I was dealing with IF there were things he did for me that I was that they worked.

But I digress.....

I've gotten the comments about how by me going back to work (and I didn't HAVE to go back), that I'm going to miss out on lots of mommy moments.

I've seen him reading and scoffing at the ingredients in DD's formula. And always talking about DD's sugar intake.

I've heard how I really should have kept up with the BFing.... Sorry, but my SIL has been BFing since for almost 6 years now! (and No, NOT the same child!) She had just weaned DS #1 before DS#2 was born, and then same thing with DS#2 before DS #3 was born.

I've heard via my MIL (who is very NON-judgemental) that my SIL and BIL worry that I have given DD vaccinations/the flu shot, etc.....

Their kids are NOT vaccinated. My DD has yet to get her MMR/Chicken Pox. I always CRINGE when my nephew is up in her face. I feel bad about it, because he ADORES DD and I love my nephews, but it drives me crazy that they are not vaccinated. (Their oldest will be 6 in a few months).

Their kids always seem to be sick with something...

My DD even though is in daycare 2 days per week has never really had anything more serious than 1 bought of pink eye and a few colds here and there.

wow - nic....i'm so so sorry... that is a disgusting thing for ANYONE to say.... and how DARE she say anything negative about Logan? he's only the cutest/happiest baby EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the BF'ing thing i can relate - i've gotten comments about it - on FB too...but because of all the meds I was on after delivery - it simply wasn't an option..(then add in the inverting nipple - it was grand)....

I would've knocked her out!!!! People always have something to say about the fact that I did not breastfeed. More power to the women who do breastfeed but I don't believe my son is at a higher risk for getting a disease!! Ughhh I want to kick that woman!!!

OMG, I don't know how you didn't attack her.

I do not feel guilty, nor have I ever been attacked for formula feeding, giving jarred food, or having a csection (hell, find me someone who would want to push a 10lb baby out drug free )

I'm 1000% happy with my decisions and stand behind them.

Well, if she had a happy meal on her plate and let's just say she ate it, then her breastfed child ate it to via her breast milk. I would have told her that the sugar I just gave to my child is far better than the literal **** she just fed hers. You're a far better person than I am for not saying something.

Ok, Luke is done eating so now I can properly reply.

1) I would have been in jail
2) Nina was obese as a infant, up until she walked, and she was EBF so I don't get why she thinks that your 9 month old is "overweight". I formula feed Luke and he is gaining weight at a slower pace than Nina did/
3) I am very proud of you for not hurting her.

ETS: Please do not attack McDonald's, as I am a huge fan!!!
