Can you help me with bridal shower centerpieces?
Just looking for ideas. One bridesmaid wanted to do sunflower centerpieces that cost more than my wedding centerpieces, so we shot that down.
Someone suggested a potted plant, but dressed up nicely. Another suggested a tea light type thing. Looks like we need to get creative. Can you please help?
Not sure if it matters, but her color is light blue and we are doing a loose cupcake theme. Invitations have cupcakes on them and the favors are individually boxed cupcakes. Nothing else is cupcakes, just normal bridal stuff.
TIA!!!!!

I think centerpieces can double as favors. If your cupcakes are packaged cute, you could just display them, one per person sitting there. Or maybe use a raised cake plate at each table and display them that way. here's an example Ugh trying to resize! Image Attachment(s):

maybe something this...
I am sure you can buy cheap pots at dollar store or christmas tree shoppe (deer park outlets)
www.rosesource.com is a wholesale flower company I used them for my e-party and the roses were beautiful, they have other flowers too.
or use fake/silk flowers

These are SO cute! You can buy flowers for cheap at Shop Rite. My Mom did this for my shower and put them in purse vases (my shower was purse themed)...

I have the perfect CP for you!!
Super easy to make!!
This is pretty much all you need.
You can but the cupcake "wrappers" here - Container Store and get the foam and ribbon at Michaels. Then get your favorite fresh (or fake) flowers and stick them in the foam!

Hey - when you did this, how far in advance did the flowers arrive and where did you store them?
I am thinking about doing my own CP's for DD's christening and if they come the day before can I make them and will they last?

Re: Can you help me with bridal shower centerpieces?
for my cousin's bridal shower we made bouquets of kitchen utensils and put them in cheap pitchers.
I don't have a picture, but like this:
we gave the pitchers away, but you can have each person at a table take one or something like that?

you need to order them a week in advance because they are coming from s. america. the roses came in a few days I stored them in a cool place and filled a bucket of water and placed them in it. the roses come closed but once you take them out and arrange them in the vase they start opening up in a few hours. I didnt have a problem at al, they were good quality they lasted a long time.

Re: Can you help me with bridal shower centerpieces?
I wish i was home where i had pictures, i just went to a shower where they went to AC Moore and got a box set that had different baking pans (2 cookie sheets, 1 cake pan and a cupcake pan ) for like 10 bucks...she took it out of the box, wrapped the box in giftwrap and some how stacked all the pieces on top and wrapped it in tool ..it was so pretty..when I get home tonight i'll try to upload a pic
