UPDATE IN ORIGINAL POST - MARC IS HOME !!!!--- typing from the hospital...need some hugs and prayers please....
Update 10/27 -
MARC'S HOME !!
he actually came home Sunday night but I haven't had the chance to come on here and update !!
saturday afternoon the dr said that he was medically cleared to go home, he just needed his circumcision to be done, have to pass the "car seat test" and urinate once after the circumcision. I brought the car seat in on Sunday morning, they did his circumcision sunday morning too (which I am NOT happy with, but that's for another thread on Parenting) and after feeding him I left to go to my baby shower !!
After the shower I called and they told me that everything was good, he passed the car seat test, and after 10 days in the NICU, my little guy was ready to go home !!!
He has been doing WONDERFULLY since then. We had a dr. appt yesterday and the dr. said all looks well. He's eating 2.5 - 3oz every 4 hours or so and his burps are LOUD ! I laught so hard everytime he burps because I don't think DH could burp like that if he tried !!
My DD is doing well having him home (she's 11.5 years old) It's been crazy around here, and the lack of sleep is unbearable at times, but it's sooooooo worth it !!
Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I truely appreciate them all !!

update 10/22 -
Just wanted to thank everyone again for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes for Marc, DH and I. My DD was able to meet her little brother on Tuesday and she couldn't have been happier ! He is still doing very well, eating like a CHAMP !! They finally turned off the extra heat in his isolette "box" tonight so hopefully by tomorrow he'll be in a regular hospital bassinet. Then it will only be a matter of days after that before he comes home !! The dr. said it could be as early as the middle / end of the week !!
This week has gone by so quickly! I see him for two feedings per day and DH has gone for an afternoon/ evening one a couple times this week too. I feel so bad that no one is there for his night feedings, but it's hard b/c DH has to go to bed early for work, and I have my DD who has to go to bed too. Plus we're packing to move and I am EXHAUSTED by the time 8pm rolls around. Soon enough he'll be home though, and all will be good.

UPDATE 10/17 !!!
So I realized - I never put my little man's name !! His name is Marc Christopher and he is doing VERY VERY VERY well !! I am soooo impressed with all of the NICU nurses and dr's at LIJ/Cohen's and especially with my little man !!
He's been breathing on his own and hasn't had any issues. He's eating about 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of formula per feeding every 3 hours. He finished all of his precautionary antibiotics too. His liver enzyme levels did go up a little so he's under the blue light for now, but that's to be expected in preemies, as well as some full term babies.
Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and FM's. I know that the power of the LIF prayer is helping ! Can't wait to bring him home !! It'll be a few more weeks, but it'll all be worth it ! I will post pics as soon as I upload some, within the next day or so.

will update more when I can but, my little man needs your hugs and prayers please. I had him last night (10/14) at 10:12 pm at exactly 33weeks. he is 4lb 11oz and 18 1/4 inches long.
He's currently in the NICU - breathing on his own thank G-d but has the CPAP to regulate his breathing & strengthen his lungs.
Please keep him in your prayers & I will update as I can.

Congrats!!! I know it's scary to have the baby so early (DS was born at 30 weeks) but he'll be fine! Some time in the NICU will help him gorw and get strong and before you know it he'll be home, growing like a weed!!!! Please FM me if u have any questions....I am very familiar with preemies and the NICU

Your little man will be fine! Someone at work had their little boy early too and he was under 5 lbs. and is perfectly fine! Thoughts and prayers are with your family!

Lots of coming to you! I don't know if this helps but a girl I know had her baby boy at the same weeks...and he is home and healthy now!
