My friend had her baby premature like you did. He was 4 lbs 15 ounces. He is just like any 16 year old. It's really nerve racking but everything will be fine.

Many many many prayers! I had my DS at 32 weeks back in March and he was 3lbs 6oz (went down to 2lbs 15oz while in the NICU). He was breathing on his own from the beginning, but he needed the CPAP for a few days. He spent almost a month in the NICU, but he is perfectly healthy at 7 months now. Have faith, your little man will be fine! The NICU doctors and nurses are AMAZING! Feel free to FM me if you ever want to talk or ask questions etc.

THANK YOU soooooo much to everyone. and to those of you with experiences - an extra special thank you because it's always good to hear of other preemie stories.
He is doing sooo well I am sooooo happy!!! They had him off the CPAP for a while, and tried feeding him a little. he took it with some prompting, didn't suckle much & then threw some up after which the nurse said was normal.
Then......DH an I were able to HOLD HIM !!!!! I was soooooo happy !! I can not wait to go back later & do it again ! He's clasping on to my finger, has an adorable head of hair and is such little peanut !!
Again, thank you all for your prayers, hugs and well wishes ! Keep them coming girls, they're working !! LIF prayers are the best !!!!!
