5weeks old and sick??

I feel so bad for her.. I took her to the Pedi, but they said nothing much, she's hydrated and pooping well, looks good, etc.

Yeah, but she can't BREATHE!!! Chat Icon

She's so congested I have to hold her upright to breathe so she can sleep. Means very long nights for me.

Hubby had a cold and I think he gave it to her.. (and if Im not mistaken, I'm showing signs now too)

what can I do for her???

I have done the following...........

I give her Little Noses
I use the bulb when she's REALLY angry that she can't breathe, she has lots of clear wet mucus..

Poor thing sounds all gurgly.. Chat Icon

I give her warm baths to help soothe her (but she really hates her hair being washed)

I keep her warmly covered but not too warm (she likes her face cool)

I boil the heck out of pacifiers and nipples to avoid reintroducing this cold.

I sleep in her room and separate from the hubby since he's been the sickest and until now I was ok.

I will admit she's been sleeping with me the past two nights for at LEAST two hours so I can rest. I had to prop her up though.

Hubby hasn't been allowed to feed her, hold her or change her. Chat Icon

Ugh.. anything else?????????

TIA

(its so sad to see her cough and sneeze and struggle to breathe and when she does its that wet yucky sound)

Oh yeah, forgot about that..

Yes and no.. we have a humidifier but its in the master bedroom cause we all used to sleep there.. but now only hubby sleeps in there.

The baby's room does NOT have a humidifier but we do have an air purifier in there..

Think we (she and I) will be going back to the master bedroom today..
